If the government does not work with the state budget, does not open a substantive discussion, it cannot make any decisions, working with LDDK and LTRK does not solve it, so says Economy Minister Viktors Valainis (ZZS).
Jānis Dombrava (NA) responds that the National Alliance is ready to liquidate KEM, with Jānis Vitenbergs working on it, and a final decision will be made in early October. That, however, is news to the coalition partners.
Preliminary inflation in the eurozone 💶 and 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇩🇪🇫🇮🇪🇪.
Eurozone inflation (3.2%) is higher than the ECB's upper target level (2%), so a repeated base rate hike is quite likely soon.
In Lithuania - a particularly rapid rise in inflation. Incidentally, according to SEB Group's assessment, in Lithuania about half (46%) have withdrawn funds from the 2nd pension pillar for a total amount of 4.5% of GDP, of which the majority has ended up in bank accounts, and another part has gone into consumption.
University of Latvia professor Daunis Auers praises the energetic actions of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs and Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava, noting that already in 1993 a sociological survey showed that the majority of residents indicated that they want to see a manager in state leadership.
Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) reveals that currently access to state budget data is provided to the Latvian Employers' Confederation, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Foreign Investors Council.
Warm congratulations to H.E. Mukhtar Tleuberdi @MBTileuberdi on appointment as Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister. Latvia looks forward to continue working closely and further strengthen Latvia-Kazakhstan bilateral relations as well as multilateral cooperation, including at the UN, and to advance our shared priorities 🇱🇻🤝🇰🇿

The coachman is good, but the content of the carriage hasn't changed much, evaluating Kulbergs' government, ironically says Linda Liepiņa (LPV). She finds the delay in 'shortening' the state administration, for example, the liquidation of KEM, incomprehensible.

Andris Šuvajevs from the Progressives gives Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) a 9 for communication on social networks; in his opinion, the public was thirsty for this kind of communication. He directs criticism at the speed of decision-making.

💚 Today with colleagues from #JaunāVienotība we met with Riga residents on the left bank of the capital – Pārdaugava. United in determination to turn plans into actions and build a strong Riga, a strong Latvia in a safe Europe! https://t.co/UND97sPU3t

We familiarized ourselves with the objections raised by institutions regarding the immigration report. They give a reason why to do nothing. Kulbergs is starting to become like Siliņa, arrogance and the rich lobby are overriding Latvia's interests. #LatvijaLatviešiem#AustrisStankevics#ElīnaBalodehttps://t.co/2DvzrMsqNA

@GalvGatis Large companies are being swept into the budget. 90% of profits go to the budget. That was a capitulating decision, because there is nothing left to take.
@guntarsv Sell all state-owned enterprises. I spoke last week with one industrialist. They won't come to 🇱🇻 because there is no competition in energy supply and the state-owned enterprise is an unreliable partner. 🤷♂️
Kept secret. Now revealed. 🚀🇩🇪
The German Navy just tested the Israeli 🇮🇱 LORA ballistic missile from a German frigate in the North Atlantic — quietly, deliberately and with a range of 500+ km.
NATO 3.0 looks like this:
Europe is taking more responsibility, building serious capabilities and keeping a few cards close to the chest.
Deterrence just got a little more interesting.⚓️🚀

Practically everyone expects the government to save everyone. That it is even capable of doing so. That's why we must cry as loudly as possible. Surely they'll give money. Every day I see delegations of criers. But there is an objective thing. There really is no money anymore. And there won't be, as before and until now, when they gave. Because there simply is no money anymore. Everything is allocated and spent. For example, today I sat in a meeting where they cried and gave speeches. That if they don't give more, then we'll shut down health care. Then let survival laws win! Trade union and other representatives at Brīvības 72 held a meeting. Heartbreaking speeches. When the speeches ended, Hosams said that that's why we are here, to solve. I said this - if we continue to cry, then survival laws will really win. The criers will leave first. Next year they need 729 million for the health sector, taking it away from others! Yes, they probably meant to liquidate the education sector. That's the 'other'. There's a billion and 200 million a year. Schools, sports, liquidate everything. I listened to the speeches, turned on the calculator, divided 700 million by the number of workers. And I offered. Each crier at the table (they have normal to very good salaries) - we pull from our own pockets and pool into policies. About 80 euros a month. And in general the only solution is to finance the shortfall ourselves, because state reserves are exhausted. Completely now. The tax base has long been overspent, we have to borrow. After my remark I was forced to leave the criers, because I had to go to another meeting, where they discussed something more important - the funeral date. There the money has also run out, the coma apparatus is working. As a society we want 2 things. Low taxes and state-paid services as in paradise. Well, socialism doesn't work, it doesn't. But only a few seem to understand that anyway. In vain have I been telling this here for years.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE NEPAL TRAGEDY. Current as of 1.09. A Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee has departed to Nepal to carry out coordination work on site to help the families and relatives of the 33 missing 🇱🇻 citizens (earlier information of 43 has been clarified). Yesterday @Braze_Baiba spoke with the Nepalese minister, full support for 🇱🇻, everything needed. From China there is silence for now after the note was sent and the announced call, but today more information may be available. 30 closest blood relatives have provided DNA samples to the State Police, which are being digitally provided to Nepalese rescue services. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened a coordination meeting on 31.08 for state and municipal institutions, defining the range of issues where state and municipal support, involvement, and assistance will be needed if those missing in Nepal are not found, for their relatives: childcare, social assistance, education, health care, and other areas. Representatives of responsible state and municipal institutions will soon prepare useful practical information, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will then pass to the relatives of the missing, inviting them to contact the relevant institutions. The MFA met by VTC with Israeli experts on victim identification and issues. The MFA met with NGO representatives ready to provide support.
