Tomorrow, Sept. 1, there will be 19,000 first-graders. In 7 years, at best 11,000. Because that's how many were born this year. So in 7 years there will be half as many. Every month the external debt grows by 200 million. The Siliņa/Kulbergs government has brought 130,000 migrants into Latvia. The numbers are inexorable. https://t.co/nJQMj9Alks

@Lato_Lapsa @sandraveinberga there is a reason why tvnet went from first place portals to the gutter. All that terrible progressive slob started collapsing right from her. She accepted no criticism - blocked everyone Stalin-style. Progressive rot

For some residents, electricity supply was interrupted for more than 72 hours. I believe that for the period when @Sadalestikls service was unavailable, one should not have to pay for the fixed connection. ☝️I have tasked preparing these amendments and will push them to the government urgently https://t.co/0qHme6VfiQ

Femicide is not simply another word for murder. It is the killing of a woman because of her gender or a gender-related motive. That is why @Progresivie has submitted amendments to the Criminal Law, proposing that femicide be recognized as murder with particularly aggravating circumstances. If the basis of violence is hatred, the desire to control or punish a woman because she is a woman, the state must clearly name it and assess it accordingly. Violence against women is not a private matter. It is the responsibility of the whole society and the state.

We are advancing a comprehensive immigration restriction plan❗️ Based on the on the recommendations of the Saeima parliamentary investigation committee and fulfilling what is set out in the the government declaration, I am submitting for consideration the comprehensive immigration restriction plan prepared by the Ministry of the Interior. The plan provides for: 🔹 quotas for third-country nationals; 🔹 strict requirements for foreign students and universities; 🔹 restrictions on the employment of foreigners and the operation of courier services; 🔹 stricter control of asylum seekers and regular raids; 🔹 National Defense Service in the State Border Guard. We must not allow immigrants from other regions of the world to replace our nation. A strict immigration policy is a matter of the long-term existence of a national state.

The only change that will directly affect teaching in schools this year is the opportunity to improve grades on tests, which until now was not allowed except at the end of the year for all the material, said Education and Science Minister @IIndriksone (NA) on the show #Labrīt. 👉However, a number of other changes that have been heard over the past month will be considered at the government meeting on September 1. This includes abandoning the percentage threshold for exams to complete 9th grade.

The Prosecutor General, the conductor of the mentu zaņķa and a person close to the emperor, Kaktiņš, personally told Hermanis. And Hermanis immediately began to act to grab everything possible for himself and the party. https://t.co/6yJofxk88h

Even Kaktiņš (director of the market and public opinion research center SKDS Arnis Kaktiņš – ed.) personally told me that if our ratings are at 7%, there will be criminal cases against me personally, claims Alvis Hermanis.

@DienvidZiemelis 🤣🤣🤣 Well, of course. He's so concerned about comments… but elections are approaching… in which he's running? Oh, no, he's still not running. But you're right — at his 72 years he's an AI guru, a walking study… 😀😀😀

@Chapis Read the comments and ran off to film. What a surprise. It's clearly visible the moment he appears, and that's the background. Also the sound is completely different. Well, how much longer?

Genetically Latvians are leftists,; something must be done to counteract that, opines Alvis Hermanis, the “Mēs mainām noteikumus” candidate for Prime Minister.

THE EMBANKMENT IS BECOMING MORE ACCESSIBLE FOR CYCLISTS TOO! 🚲 On the 11th November Embankment, between Vanšu Bridge and Railway Bridge, a 1.1 km long cycle path separated from motor traffic and pedestrian flow will be built. It is part of the overall cycle route “Center – Ķengarags – Rumbula – Dārziņi”, whose length from Vanšu Bridge to the Dārziņi neighborhood reaches approximately 14 km🔥 (we will also build the Dārziņi section soon) ⚒️ The promenade surface will also be restored in the section from Railway Bridge to Akmens Bridge. There will be a new pedestrian crossing at Akmens Bridge, near the boat pier. These are not the only improvements on the embankment, there will be more!

Wind parks bad, golden visas good. That's how one can describe the government's current policy. The Prime Minister Kulbergs' adviser worriedly tells on the radio that Latvia needs investments because the budget cannot be balanced. A few days later, the government, with the finance minister chairing the meeting (the one who should be responsible for balancing the budget!), rejects one of Latvia's largest investment projects. Why? Because some millionaires object and can afford expensive lawyers and stir up the public. Even better, this proposal was submitted by National Alliance politician Vitenbergs. Shouldn't the National Alliance care about Latvia's energy independence, right? But no, its politicians have decided that their voter will be the one protesting against wind parks. They themselves also participate in protests, fishing for votes. Gas, apparently, is a politically closer energy source. Instead of ensuring clear decision-making for investors who have gone through many bureaucratic procedures, express favoritism is being prepared for golden visa holders. They supposedly fill Latvia's budget with money. Plain short-term thinking. Instead of reducing energy prices with renewables and developing manufacturing in Latvia, we wait for the Lucky Bear. But this could have been avoided. Also avoidable was the devastating criticism expressed by Latvia's Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), the Foreign Investors' Council (FICIL), the Latvian Employers' Confederation (LDDK), and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK) - henceforth there must be a clearer and more predictable procedure for large investment projects (https://t.co/rbOzmuaDaC). The Cabinet of Ministers should not make such decisions on specific projects. The Cabinet must create the rules of the game, not participate in the game. State institutions, after rules are developed, must make decisions on specific projects. That was an initial flaw in the law that could not be fixed in the Saeima in the first half of this year. I submitted a proposal in the draft law that the institution - the State Environmental Service - should decide on such projects. The proposal received support in the committee but not at the Saeima session. In my opinion, what happened is a good lesson for the future. The Cabinet cannot be granted the right to decide on specific projects. That must be done by a non-partisan civil service that follows the law, not pre-election emotions. That will give certainty to investors that LIAA, LTRK, LDDK, and FICIL invite.
