A "meeting" of four "Wolt" couriers: three Indians and one very fair-haired Latvian (heavy Russian accent) - all four communicate with each other in Russian. That's the integration policy implemented by the current ruling parties. On October 3, vote for "Austošā Saule Latvijai"!

@Lato_Lapsa @Apvienotais_ This is my absolutely personal opinion, Lato! Thieves should sit in prison regardless of party affiliation, and in this case a very simple court process has been dragging on for the seventh year…

If you needed one more confirmation before the elections that @Apvienotais_ is a disguised communist plague and the cancer of Unity.

It's a pity that the court lacks state thinking, because there was a chance to cancel Brēmanis before the elections. Well, nothing, they can also imprison a Saeima deputy...

@andrislov No, in this case it could be done precisely with a conviction. As a journalist, I once investigated this case and there is no alternative…

“Cancel before the elections.” “You can also put a Saeima deputy in jail.” And a court is supposedly not needed, it is enough that “we know”. Restrict. Isolate. Arrest. Lynch. Without a verdict. Without evidence. Without defense. Only with the right feeling that the opponent must be taken off the field before it is too late. That is not state thinking, it is the immortal communist party that has still not disappeared.

🇫🇮🇮🇱 FINLAND EXTENDS DEFENSE COOPERATION WITH ISRAEL Finland and Israel have quietly extended their defense-industry cooperation memorandum through 2034, covering joint research, development and military procurement—with Israel’s David’s Sling air-defense system a key focus. Separately, Finland will end its €20 million, four-year UNRWA funding agreement when it expires in 2026, while continuing humanitarian aid to Arabs in Judea and Samaria and Gaza through other organizations.

@ESvirskis @zuravlevs @miks_eu For Celmiņš that is after all a business and his only occupation in life, to serve others. @MrMadis The National Alliance is responsible for public order and fireworks in Riga. Let one enjoy to the devil's pulling, but must not disturb others.

@instant_mk But why are you and maybe some Karen whining, while all Riga residents are having a good time and enjoying events? Why do the Progressives themselves allow this in Riga? Can't you tell Viesturs not to allow such events? 😀 Horrors! Fire all Progressives from the Riga City Council 😀

If you don't want to vote for liberal corruption, don't stress, there's also one with Nazi taste! Reminder of NA's 'sins'. I mention Kola's sister because she is one of the PLG company that won the infamous, useless, insanely overpaid Ministry of Economics electric charging network construction (about 3 million).

I'm reading yet another article about Latvia's low industrial productivity. In a very good magazine, but it lacks deep contextual understanding, so the problem is not precisely defined and the explanations are a list of correct facts that do not characterize the deep essence of the matter. Thus, meaningless theses that have been heard to the point of annoyance are repeated, which the same experts have been showing for years in presentations of slightly different design at all conferences they are not too lazy to attend. One of the main reasons for low productivity is that a very large part of industrial enterprises exist due to inertia; they were formed under huge structural circumstances after the collapse of the USSR, with people looking for a way to survive, mainly in rural areas. By a very large margin, they operate in the primary processing of local natural resources. We have a few enterprises with high productivity (but a large share of output) and many inefficient enterprises. Now they are gradually closing, because efficient enterprises 'pick up' a larger share of raw material flows AND the social function fulfilled by inefficient enterprises loses significance, as the number of people in their places of operation is rapidly declining. One could say - aha, let's make the producers in the 'social' sector more efficient, raise wages in rural areas, and they will flourish. But roundwood and milk will not increase from that. On the other hand, in sectors independent of local raw material flows, sensible enterprises will invest in places where there is a larger number of potential workers and diversity of skills. Moreover, people's desire to live in at least medium-sized cities in the future will be determined mainly by non-economic factors - there are better education and leisure opportunities. The fact that there are more people there in itself makes life more interesting. It would be good if we had better education, etc., but that is not the only or rather even the main thing that determines industrial productivity.
