In the context of ratings, I pondered a little what so much unites the Progressives and Harmony in the past.
I think it's the total indifference of their voter to the actions of "their own" - the Harmony voter was indifferent to Ušakova's scandalous activity in Riga City Council, mismanagement, corruption suspicions, nanowater, Riga Transport scandals and so on. The voter didn't care and voted. Same with the Progressives now. Sprūda's failure in defense, possibly even malicious sabotage of the field, Briškens/Švinka disaster in transport and airBaltic's actual bankruptcy (they themselves took a pawnshop loan at 14%), the pile in the Daugava, railBaltica concrete blocks at the airport and Central Station without a single meter of track. Plus Riga City Council leadership is so quiet, as if there were no mayor at all..
I propose the thesis - because the voter/fan core is very incompetent by nature, easily intimidated and doesn't follow politics on a daily basis. But everything comes to an end. As Harmony ended, so will these.
Warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Haakon VIII on his accession to the throne of Norway. I wish Your Majesty strength and wisdom in your service to the Norwegian people, and look forward to strengthening the close ties between Latvia and Norway.
Deeply saddened by the passing of His Majesty King Harald V. My heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway. His lifelong dedication to Norway and its people will be remembered with profound respect.
Reliable sources report that Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis has given his blessing for Lemberga, Martinsons and IT cartel candidates (Andris Liepiņš, Krišjānis Krūmiņš, Juris Kanelis) to join the RIX Airport board. Looks like in JV's pre-election hunger, security and state interests are out the window.💥
A conversation in Ludza with Latgale Regional Television about the series of regional forums for farmers 'Own product, own strength – strong agriculture for a safe Latvia'. It's important for Latvia to develop a stable, crisis-resilient agricultural and food production sector. https://t.co/bqBx6JKVDE
Latvia must be able to live without European funds! Enough living on debt, we need to finally start developing Latvia's economy and earning! Latvia must be first, not last! https://t.co/1ZX0v1TA3p

@ezerkalnuricis@KasparsH@eazeo@ieva_w@zuravlevs@JurisFlugins@LatvijaPirmaja The Soviet occupation caused very great evil, but those who truly wanted - lived in the world cultural space in absentia. Yes, it was a kind of underground and associated with risks (let's remember the French group), but that didn't stop people.

@AndrisVelps@bkreicis Dad has registered. He filled out a survey about wind parks some time ago. Categorically against. He explained the negative impact of wind farms on the environment, electricity prices, and human health. They no longer send him surveys because he didn't have the right opinion. That's how it all works. 😂
Since the survey is offered to people who have registered on the SKDS portal, it is naive to think that the office does not have a 'characterizing profile' of these users.
@NellijaL@Ivars_Abolins Can people no longer read? I did say - “Russian information resources”. Those are also portals. It is very right that Ivars closed it.
@AnsisPupols@Ivars_Abolins You remember incorrectly. I have never objected to closing Russian TV channels, quite the opposite. What I objected to and still object to is censorship of internet resources - pointless and wrong.
The future of Latgale begins with people. APVIENOTAIS SARAKSTS' Latgale leader Juris Viļums participated in the Latgale leaders' debates, where one of the most important topics was the future of Latgale and the decline in population. Can stopping depopulation in Latgale be a concrete policy goal? Juris Viļums' answer is clear - it must be a common task for all Saeima deputies elected from Latgale. Because an uninhabited territory cannot protect the state. Where there are no people, there is also no economy, schools, public transport, and services. Therefore, we must look beyond one election cycle. What Latgale do we want to see in 2050? Populated, economically strong, and safe - a Latgale where people want to live, work, start families, and develop businesses. If we have a clear long-term goal, we can also evaluate today's decisions by whether they help Latgale achieve that goal. Latgale - we have a solution! Latvia - we have a solution!
