Finally we start to really protect the border. Specific NGOs are grieving today and soon we will likely see statements about human rights violations in illegal migration restriction measures.

@anonimizets @Lato_Lapsa @letanewslv @AndrisKulbergs This is an order. “Leta”, in my opinion, serves “New Unity”, “The Progressives” and “Latvia’s Development”. I hope “Leta” will be excluded from any mass media support programs.

I’m listening to @letanewslv’s interview with @AndrisKulbergs, and journalists ask not about ideas, but only about red lines and criticize his political incorrectness. Complete unprofessionalism and marginalism from the journalists IMHO.

From August 12, the new EU packaging regulation will start to apply. Small producers fear that they will have to register in each country, list every packaging component, and cover fixed costs that can be disproportionately high for small shipment volumes. At the same time, the Ministry of Climate and Energy points out that the requirements will be introduced gradually and many details, including guidelines, have not yet been developed. A new packaging register will need to be created, but first clear requirements are needed, and the system itself must be as simple as possible. KEM explains that currently nothing essentially changes in the flow of shipments, because the regulation's requirements will come into force gradually – in 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030. Circular economy and reduction of packaging volume are correct goals. However, green regulation must not create a situation where a small Latvian producer can no longer sell their goods in Finland or Germany, because separate registration and different reporting requirements are required in each country. The EU single market needs a unified packaging register and a simplified regime for small businesses. Climate policy will only be acceptable to society if its requirements are understandable, proportionate, and easy to implement. https://t.co/N4FSqXpjLU

@sinezd_ I see no reason for a new party to be ashamed of its ratings, which cannot be said about the one you mentioned. But let's not stray from the topic. You still haven't answered my questions. So not enough courage?

@lindberga22 Who and what should be given will be decided by those who are elected. That's not in the cards for you, because your ideas have even lower support among Latvian citizens than LKS - do you have any idea why?

The only thing we need to promote is the preservation of our culture. Both the consequences of occupation and mass immigration are devastating for such a small nation. Please, don't come to my profile with such self-destructive and masochistic propaganda. We must protect our own country and culture, not save the huge ones. They have their own lands where to do that! Period. End of discussion.

@lindberga22 I don't know what you lack, but minority rights to cultivate their culture also mean the state's obligation to promote it. And discrimination in Latvia is illegal. There is no basis to restrict funding applicants by nationality.

@EglitisGatis @Lab_min @arodbiedribas I invite you to familiarize yourselves with the 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' Economic Doubling Plan! It envisages the most ambitious and bold economic reforms in the history of restored Latvia to ensure real growth of our country's and citizens' prosperity. https://t.co/0T4I7qyFTI

According to the FM plan, in 2027 the minimum monthly wage is planned to be raised to EUR 820. @Lab_min and @arodbiedribas propose raising it to EUR 835, because we have almost the lowest minimum wage in the EU. What to do?

Marking the centenary of Latvian exile playwright and painter Raimonds Staprāns, a special exhibition will soon be on display at LNMM and the artist's memoirs will also be opened. More in “Rīta Panorāma”. Afterwards we will talk with European Parliament member Rihards Kols (NA) about changes in EU cohesion policy and about Europe's ability to protect its market and people.

@sinezd_ Latvia was founded so that Latvian culture would continue in this territory. If there is not enough for Latvian culture, then others should not be given. How did Russians get here? How did they get citizenship? Why did the number increase? Where did those Latvians go who lived in their homes before the Russians came in?

@lindberga22 Yes, because a large part of Latvia's citizens are Russians and Belarusians.

@esenif Of course. We should not have to pay for the funding of foreign cultures from taxpayers' money when we do not have enough for our own culture. But that does not prevent other cultural representatives from maintaining it at their own expense while living in our country. I hope you understand that?

@lindberga22 You already consider it a problem, not me. ;)

We increasingly observe that other forces – both “experienced” system parties and newcomers – diligently look into the “Austošā Saule Latvijai” programme and draw inspiration from our proposed solutions. Starting with promoting the departure of immigrants and dismantling railway tracks at the eastern border, ending with the liquidation of SIF – our uncompromising proposals suddenly begin to appear in the slogans and appeals of other forces. It is pleasant to see that the ASL effect works and we are able to influence the national political agenda even before the elections. However, I have well-founded doubts about whether these forces will at all be able and willing to actually fulfil the promises borrowed from us. The original always differs from the imitation. Others use our ideas for loud headlines, but we have a clear will and determination to actually implement them. If you want to be sure of a true revival of a Latvian Latvia – choose the original! On 3 October, vote for Austošā Saule Latvijai!

@esenif In a democratic state, everyone can cultivate their own culture. Where's the problem? Re-read the preamble of the Constitution. If you yourselves don't have enough funds to fulfill this, then it's regrettable what you're trying to tell me now. We'll close Latvian schools, but give to Russian culture🤦‍♀️

@lindberga22 Isn't the Constitution publicly available anymore? A democratic, lawful state that respects minorities and ensures the right to preserve their culture. And maybe it's worth examining the funds received by Latvian organizations as well.

Together with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, we have agreed on even stricter action to protect Latvia's eastern border against illegal immigration. Therefore, operation “VILKATIS” is being launched, combining internal affairs and defense resources, strengthening border guard capacity, information exchange, and the use of modern technologies. Against the hybrid threat posed by Belarus, we are putting coordinated and firm state action. During the operation, the protection of Latvia's eastern border will be strengthened, closer cooperation between the State Border Guard, State Police, National Armed Forces, and security services will be ensured, and unmanned aerial vehicle systems will be used more intensively for early detection and detention of illegal border crossers.

LSM announces the Latvian Interior Minister's letter, in which Latvia's help is offered to Spain, as 'questioning EU solidarity assistance'. It is clearly visible that dislike of Dombrava is overriding LSM's ability to reflect events objectively. https://t.co/Ito8yT08b0

Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava (NA) has reproached Spain for weakening migration policy and questioned European Union solidarity aid in a crisis, according to the text of a letter addressed to Spain's Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska. Interior Ministry representatives say the letter is to be regarded as official working communication between officials, not a communications material, and called for this context to be taken into account.

Of course, everyone understands that, but much has to be covered by the participants themselves. Also, this money would be more usefully used for the development and maintenance of Latvian culture and for salaries and support for conductors, dance groups, etc. Why should we sponsor foreign culture in Latvia when we ourselves don't have enough?

@lindberga22 The Song Festival is organized with state funds. That is, if one doesn't go deeper into the idea of discrimination.
