I highly value the work done by scientists and @LatvijasBanka experts in studying the impact of biodiversity, climate change and other risks on the economy, as well as their recommendations for banks to assess sustainability risks. Farmers who follow global trends appreciate such information; it helps to see future prospects rather than each year face anew the challenges posed by natural disasters that reduce stability and the sense of security about successful operation in the agricultural sector. At the same time, I understand the Prime Minister's @AndrisKulbergs desire to listen to the sector and provide people with answers on how to work today, attract financing and carry out daily tasks. I do not think this issue is so simple. I believe that the impact of these challenges and the data must be viewed through the prism of economics, and in this specific case agriculture, so that we are better prepared and with stronger foundations for the sector. It is also necessary to ensure reasonable transition periods and support mechanisms so that society and the sector both understand the need to respect future challenges and are able to successfully adapt to them.

I myself am a former voter of the National Alliance, and there is a very clear reason why - former. If we in elections were guided only by what various political blowhards say, these parties would not exist at all. They said that we would not manage to establish a party, then - that we would not be able to attract members. If you listen to everything that opponents try to instill, then thinking for yourself is not worth it at all. Meeting people in person in regions and cities, one sees considerably greater and more sincere support than what is publicly attempted to be presented in sociological surveys. If someone is only concerned that their vote has a mathematical 'weight' rather than ideological and value alignment, then they can simply vote for the first party in the ratings and then feel 'important'. But elections are not a lottery where you have to guess the winner. You must vote for those who will truly defend your views and then will not try to make excuses why the promises still cannot be fulfilled.

@RKrumin @EriksZarahovics Throughout all this time the budget was not the same 😉 I didn't include structural funds, but the main point doesn't change. KNAB's ROI is most likely negative.

@martinsstals @EriksZarahovics Your math is seriously flawed! 15-17M€ per year × 9 years = at least 140M€, not counting various crazy projects like floating a foam block on the Daugava!

True - in many places the natives were angry that the British, as the first empire in human history, no longer allowed trade in slaves, which was a very popular commodity in inter-tribal conflicts.

Yes, right, the colonizers' goal was exactly to improve the lives of the world and all sorts of natives🤣🤣🤣! Too bad the natives didn't know and didn't understand, and quite a few didn't survive this improvement.

1/3 Biodiversity, climate change and other risks affect the economy, so banks assess sustainability risks. But it is not as it has been said. The guidelines do not determine how farmers should work, what and to what extent banks should lend. Application of these guidelines to banks is not mandatory.

“We Change the Rules” are the only ones who can implement Milei's approach to fighting the budget deficit, namely, while there is a deficit, deputies are not paid. First, restrictions that prevent deputies from earning a living in their specialty in parallel must be lifted. Second, we are not saying that a deficit-free budget is possible immediately. Gradually. Within one convocation. How soon that will happen depends on how soon deputies want to get their salary.

@miks_eu I heard you, Mik. Did you catch the thought I wrote? By objective nature, it is impossible to answer your question without knowing the election outcome. Given the baseline data, decisions will be made on what and how to do.

@CerinsAivis It is about the composition of deputies. In the LPV faction, the party chairman will work, whose board member has been convicted to 5 years for spying for Russia. Would AS be ready to form the next government with such a vote? Ratings show AS + NA + LPV = 53. Awaiting an answer, not stalling!

💔 THREE GENERATIONS KILLED WITH ONE MISSILE. This is not just war, it is absolute, indefensible evil. A Russian missile strike on Radushne, Ukraine, destroyed the Voronov family home overnight. In an instant, 10 lives were erased - parents, seven children, and a grandson only a year and a half old. They were murdered in their beds. One of the sons, who as a soldier defends Ukraine at the front, learned of his little son's and the whole family's death from the village group chat... This evil madness once again proves that the Russian military and imperialist cultural code brings only devastation, death, and dehumanization. Such a destructive mentality, which justifies and glorifies the annihilation of innocent people, is unwanted, unnecessary, and will never be accepted in Latvia. 🇱🇻 We must protect our country and our space from any manifestation of this toxic evil. This terror has neither justification nor forgiveness. The world must not look away. 🕯️🇺🇦 🇱🇻 #StandWithUkraine #SargāsimLatviju #AtkrieviskoLatviju #NEsatiekamiesČehovā #RunāLatviski #krievholisms

One can amuse oneself, but surely the sector has a risk assessment methodology that highlights both processes and persons who need increased attention. The current methodology looks like shooting sparrows with a cannon. However, an objective assessment can only be made after a competent audit that evaluates the information circulating within the institution.

@martinsstals So your idea is that the institution should lower the plan of arrestees. And it will be assessed by the fulfillment and overfulfillment of the plan. The year 1917 and the Cheka traditions created by Latvians are eternally alive here.

Half of the Latvian 'businessmen' make their 'business' with state orders and saw the state's money. That is why Latvia can only conditionally be called a capitalist country.

@Dr_Lapsa Exactly — all those elected will be locomotives. Whoever is not a “locomotive” will not be elected. Each candidate must gather their own vote quota.

@JazepsBasko Every party creates its own list. If JV has 3 Zariņi on the list, then they are party members and are included on the list. This is the current system. Calling those on whose fat those locomotives even move free riders is rather strange. When you change the order, will everyone be locomotives?

We are talking about the current electoral system. Who ends up being a stowaway is determined not before the elections, but by the voters with their votes. Usually stowaways are found on those lists that collect many votes because of a few prominent leaders. For example, in this Saeima at one point there were three Zariņi from New Unity, all of whom had more crossed-out votes than pluses. Would you want such Zariņi in the Saeima, or instead the best from the tops of other parties?

@JazepsBasko Which are the couple of people on your list and who are the stowaways? Strange assessment of electoral lists.
