"Total unpreparedness in minds" - Cabinet to adopt decisions that will eliminate problems found during the storm (1) We must be able to hold out for 72 hours
PVD will be able to control transit grain cargoes in Latvian ports.
But nothing has been lied about. The goal was for airBaltic to keep flying, and it could only fly by saving (coming to terms with) creditors, thereby de facto losing most of the state's control over the company. My bet is that the state will still be forced to inject something when the promised strategic investor arrives, and if we want some kind of connectivity with Riga… of course, if it comes. But that will be after the elections. 😀 however, time and liquidity have been bought. Yes, at a high price. And it is not the state that pays, but airBaltic itself, including to the state. They will clear the field, and bondholders, to whom the company is already in debt, will get better collateral... Bridge financing has been found, and more than planned. The state has an option to participate proportionally in this new issuance as well. I think the state will not participate. The most likely end game is that the debt holders will be saved, the company will fly, but Latvia's stake in the company will be negligible. But there will be an option to participate with cash, like buy back what was lost. Logically, the only question here will be whether the new owners will be interested in keeping the 'hub' in Riga or not.
From@Heinrih5@JurgisLiepnieks Kulbergs and Kozlovskis should honestly say that the privatization of AirBaltic is currently underway, because this and previous loans, at least to a large extent, cannot be repaid at such a 'super SMS credit price' and Latvia no longer controls AirBaltic.

The surprising return of anti-corruption fighters. 15th Saeima election list No. 10 - New Conservative Party
BNN Focus | Four years, three governments and old problems: how has Latvia reached the elections?
⚠️ Why did Latvian Radio and Latvian Television news services NOT work in crisis mode during and after the storm? Just now, a SEPLP representative explained to Saeima deputies in a presentation that they followed the letter of the law — neither President Rinkēvičs, nor Prime Minister Kulbergs, nor Cabinet ministers had declared a state of emergency. Therefore, the radio and television program was not changed or adapted to the real crisis situation. While people were left without electricity, communications, and necessary information, public media continued their regular programming. Bureaucracy had NO CRISIS SITUATION — so everything was fine on air! Fantastic state administration logic: we don't declare a state of emergency and then announce that there was no reason to work in crisis mode.
Valainis: Kulberg's government is technical because it has not started work on the state budget.
A new storm raised by Kulbergs to forget the previous one. On 22/08, storm aftermath management was AK's responsibility with the Crisis Management Center directly under him, who turned out to be 000. He even dared to say that this is not a real crisis. Good that @KEM_Latvija VS Līga K. took over crisis management.
@RKrumin @AndrisKulbergs @aldis_voitenko @Apvienotais_ Because that is doing - not talking.
From@RKrumin@AndrisKulbergs @aldis_voitenko @Apvienotais_ What now prevents the government from abolishing vignettes for vehicles up to 3.5t, which you yourself fought for recently?

From@AndrisKulbergsMarking Latvia's holidays on November 18, I wanted to give all Latvian car and motorcycle drivers an initiative from me and @Apvienotais_ to introduce the Latvian coat of arms on our country's vehicle license plates. With the aim of strengthening Latvia's image and promoting vehicle owners' sense of belonging to the the country, together with CSDD amendments to legislation are being prepared so that the national coat of arms would be included on Latvian vehicle registration plates. The design and specification will be refined, the picture is only for illustration.

From@MadzinsReliable sources report that Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis has given his blessing for Lemberga, Martinsons and IT cartel candidates (Andris Liepiņš, Krišjānis Krūmiņš, Juris Kanelis) to join the RIX Airport board. Looks like in JV's pre-election hunger, security and state interests are out the window.💥

From@Apvienotais_The future of Latgale begins with people. APVIENOTAIS SARAKSTS' Latgale leader Juris Viļums participated in the Latgale leaders' debates, where one of the most important topics was the future of Latgale and the decline in population. Can stopping depopulation in Latgale be a concrete policy goal? Juris Viļums' answer is clear - it must be a common task for all Saeima deputies elected from Latgale. Because an uninhabited territory cannot protect the state. Where there are no people, there is also no economy, schools, public transport, and services. Therefore, we must look beyond one election cycle. What Latgale do we want to see in 2050? Populated, economically strong, and safe - a Latgale where people want to live, work, start families, and develop businesses. If we have a clear long-term goal, we can also evaluate today's decisions by whether they help Latgale achieve that goal. Latgale - we have a solution! Latvia - we have a solution! @mansviedoklis1 @Kuskis @AndrisKulbergs @EvikaSilina None. They promised some extravagant idea, but I guess the idea was stupid, so zero work, zero decisions, time goes by.
From@mansviedoklis1@Kuskis @JurgisLiepnieks @AndrisKulbergs @EvikaSilina There is no time. Kulbis himself shouted that every day Rail Baltica costs millions and that Siliņa needs to personally supervise. What decisions has investigator Andris made as prime minister in the Rail Baltica matter in almost 3 months?
