We familiarized ourselves with the objections raised by institutions regarding the immigration report. They give a reason why to do nothing. Kulbergs is starting to become like Siliņa, arrogance and the rich lobby are overriding Latvia's interests. #LatvijaLatviešiem #AustrisStankevics #ElīnaBalode https://t.co/2DvzrMsqNA

From@AndrisKulbergsINFORMATION ABOUT THE NEPAL TRAGEDY. Current as of 1.09. A Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee has departed to Nepal to carry out coordination work on site to help the families and relatives of the 33 missing 🇱🇻 citizens (earlier information of 43 has been clarified). Yesterday @Braze_Baiba spoke with the Nepalese minister, full support for 🇱🇻, everything needed. From China there is silence for now after the note was sent and the announced call, but today more information may be available. 30 closest blood relatives have provided DNA samples to the State Police, which are being digitally provided to Nepalese rescue services. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened a coordination meeting on 31.08 for state and municipal institutions, defining the range of issues where state and municipal support, involvement, and assistance will be needed if those missing in Nepal are not found, for their relatives: childcare, social assistance, education, health care, and other areas. Representatives of responsible state and municipal institutions will soon prepare useful practical information, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will then pass to the relatives of the missing, inviting them to contact the relevant institutions. The MFA met by VTC with Israeli experts on victim identification and issues. The MFA met with NGO representatives ready to provide support.

From@BroksOver the last two months it has been interesting to watch how often Kulbergs is asked to explain, answer, appear, justify and account. This is done by the opposition, which is understandable, but also regularly by the government coalition partners themselves. As elections approach, this tactic becomes more pronounced. Obviously the calculation is simple: the more the prime minister has to justify problems, the more it will cost his party in the elections. But it will be very interesting on the morning of October 4 to see if this calculation was correct. Sometimes, focusing too much on weakening a competitor can have the opposite effect. By repeating for two months that exactly one person must answer for nearly everything happening in the country, it may cause the voter to start perceiving that person as the one responsible for the country. Especially if the legacy left behind before was sad. We'll see. This time the elections will be quite an interesting experiment.

From@AtlasDynam1csHere we are - it has already started in Latvia too - dirty ones threaten locals. For the consequences, demand responsibility from Progresīvie/KustibaPar, JV's rotten president @edgarsrinkevics and @AndrisKulbergs

No, these are universal principles in educated societies with wise leaders - regardless of the length of the mandate or short-term, business or political environment. What matters is the ability to work together cohesively toward common goals. This is in no way compatible with sandbox-level mutual squabbles. But here one must remember that AS is not that far from JV. There are plenty of currents here, among which symbolic was @AndrisKulbergs' decision to appoint the deputy of Dzintars Zaķis, a semi-criminal, political schemer, partner of the Zilupe mafia boss, as... Minister of Justice. A symbolic testament to @Apvienotais_ and @AndrisKulbergs' attitude toward the Republic of Latvia.
From@knabucis@LieneCipule In an institution, company, and other types of organizations, this works. But in government, no. The fight against sudden proposals that are undiscussed and unevaluated has been going on for a long time. And NA and ZZS are champions of such proposals. If they don't understand otherwise, then they need to be rapped on the knuckles.

Updated - Ille Madise elected as President of Estonia
❗️❗️❗️Labor must be brought in from other countries, says @RostovskisA. There is no other way out, he adds. 🇱🇻🚗 However, unfortunately there are still cases where Latvians willing to work leave our country. 🇳🇴 Two months ago, an older woman from a small town on the Kurzeme coast went to Norway, where she was paid a salary of 800 euros at a local grocery store. I understand that in the age of artificial intelligence, the seller is a disappearing profession and rural shops do not have large turnover. ☝️However, the overall numbers must be taken into account. 👉 SIA “Rimi Latvija” profit in 2025 was 39 million euros. 👉 SIA “Maxima Latvija” - 50 million. 👉 Lidl's profit is negative, but that is because the company is rapidly expanding its operations in Latvia, and its turnover in 2024 was 460 million. Of course, Latvian Elvi and Top and those that the Enterprise Register shows lower incomes must compete with these international concerns. It is understandable if the members of lobbyist Rostovskis's @LTRK_uznemeji association do not care what kind of employees will work for low wages - Latvians or Uzbeks. 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻 But that is important for the Latvian state! We must call Latvians back and business must also get involved in promoting re-emigration. Therefore, one of the goals of the compatriots' return program must be support measures for those entrepreneurs who employ people previously working in England, Ireland and Germany, and sanctions against those traders who pay humiliatingly microscopic wages. 🇵🇱 And we must learn from Poland how to get compatriots back! We can do this especially because the average wage in the country is rising! #ReemigrācijaNevisIslams p.s. The portrait of a Latvian woman in Norway was created by AI
From@RostovskisAAccording to @LaSERdomnica research on demography and immigration, the economy can only grow by increasing the birth rate or attracting people from other countries. Unfortunately, the birth rate in Latvia is also low, and we cannot do without well-organized immigration @AndrisKulbergs @AndrisBite

Rinkēvičs: Kulbergs' government still has some urgent matters to complete before the Saeima elections
⚠️ Why did the news services of Latvian Radio and Latvian Television NOT operate in crisis mode during and after the storm? Just now, a SEPLP representative explained to Saeima deputies in a presentation that they had followed THE LETTER OF THE LAW - neither President Rinkēvičs, nor Prime Minister Kulbergs, nor the ministers of the Cabinet of Ministers had declared a state of emergency. Therefore, the radio and television program was not changed and adapted to the real crisis situation. While people were left without electricity, communications, and necessary information, public media continued their usual programming. For the bureaucracy, there was NO CRISIS SITUATION - so everything was fine on air as well! Fantastic state administration logic: we don't declare a state of emergency and then announce that there was no basis to work in crisis mode.

BNN Focus | Four years, three governments and old problems: how has Latvia reached the elections?

From@JurgisLiepnieksContinuing like this, Kulbergs will in record short time achieve that after the elections his candidacy for prime minister will no longer be relevant, even if AS becomes the winner. Which political force will want to work with such a leader?

Valainis: Kulberg's government is technical because it has not started work on the state budget.
We are all judged by others according to their own understanding. Kulbergs' situation is nothing special. He is a politician, a prime minister, who for years sharply criticized the previous prime minister and ministers. Then he energetically and convincingly promised to decide, solve, work. Now people are disappointed that they believed, because there is nothing of what was expected and promised. That's normal.
From@GSkangale@JurgisLiepnieks It's not easy for Kulbergs, a person whom everyone judges according to their own understanding. Leading and ruling a political coalition is not simple. Criticizing the leader is even easier. Let's be more understanding! Let's be evaluators, but not Latvia's destroyers! Have a nice day everyone!

“One of the former directors, who knew old Hermanis and his family well, just told me that the young Hermanis in his life has hardly ever dug a shovel into the ground with his own hands…” How common this creature turns out to be. https://t.co/3jRfLpuO6o
From@AlvisHermanis1One of the former prime ministers, who knew the old Kulbergs and his family well, just told me that the young Kulbergs has hardly read a single book in his life. Of course, the garage boss could theoretically run the country too, but at this critical moment we need leaders who act decisively against: 1. immigration and 2. bureaucracy. Without wavering. Who are not dependent on the old system, on all that political-economic swamp created during Šķēle's time that still holds the entire Latvian nation hostage.

No one is braking the review of the immigration issue in the government, but it is expected that it will be done qualitatively, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) said in an interview on “Rīta Panorāma”. “If we really want to sort out this issue, Friday is the place to do it,” the Prime Minister said.
@yukabrother After Kulbergs' viģika no. 68, I no longer agree with that. If a person openly stands against fighting immigration and bureaucracy, then he is dangerous to the Latvian state and that must be said directly and openly.
From@yukabrother@AlvisHermanis1 Don't mumble and don't insult Kulbergs and his family whom you don't even know but I do. Whatever, he reads a lot! Don't mix political life with private life!
