@AivarsOzo@AndrisKulbergs Vienotība also said before the last elections in 2022 'clearly and unambiguously' that it would not go into government with ZZS. I don't remember if you have pointed this out to them? 🫤
@jureits@AndrisKulbergs 'I don't see a possibility...' Two days before they saw it. Tomorrow they will say that Šlesers is good, if without potato salad. And they will repeat that the 'voter' will decide everything. There has been no AS decision that the alliance will not be with Šlesers' LPV in the next government. Why is it so difficult to say that clearly and unambiguously?
Modern state governance in Latvia – that is what Armands Puče, ahead of the 15th Saeima elections, will ask Edgars Tavars (@Edgars_T) (AS), Minister of Smart Administration and Regional Development, Alvis Hermanis (@AlvisHermanis1), leader of the party “Mēs mainām noteikumus”, the chair of the 14th Saeima's Public Administration and Local Government Commission, @burovs_olegs (GKR), who will run in the 15th Saeima elections from ZZS, and former Director of the State Chancellery Jānis Citskovskis (@citskovskisj), who will run in the 15th Saeima elections from JKP. 👀 Pre-election debates “Runāsim atklāti!” live tonight at 21:03! #tv24_lv#reklāma
@jureits@AndrisKulbergs Very good that you will not be there! But Kulbergs has answered vaguely: 'Kulbergs (AS) currently does not rule out cooperation with the opposition party LPV after the 15th Saeima elections.' 'Kulbergs (...) admitted that he positively evaluates LPV chairman Ainārs Šlesers.' https://t.co/QYnOjZEiRU
Modern state administration in Latvia – about this, Armands Puče, approaching the 15th Saeima elections, will question the Minister of Smart Administration and Regional Development Edgars Tavars (@Edgars_T) (AS), the leader of the party 'We Change the Rules' Alvis Hermanis (@AlvisHermanis1), the chair of the 14th Saeima State Administration and Municipality Commission @burovs_olegs (GKR), who will run in the 15th Saeima elections from ZZS, and former Director of the State Chancellery Jānis Citskovskis (@citskovskisj), who will run in the 15th Saeima elections from JKP. 👀 Pre-election debates 'Let's Talk Openly!' tonight live at 21:03! #tv24_lv#advertisement

Well, look, AS, LPV and NA “right-centrist” post-election team will have one professional less. Podkolzins is experienced and competent in “security”, but also in aviation matters. Moreover, he has traditional Kremlin family values of Šlesers and Bartaševičs. 1/3

The new government and its leader have acted disgustingly and dangerously. @ltvdefacto@ivchix told about it, and they did right - it is their duty. Latvian public television viewers had to know about it. Let's start with the fact that the government leader @AndrisKulbergs and part of the @Apvienotais_ leadership had gone on an unmistakable campaigning event during a working day, when their task was to work. When an LTV journalist publicly asked about this situation, the prime minister first, instead of answering, very vulgarly told the journalist to go away, rather than answering on the merits, which is his duty. He could act that way if he were a private person, but not a public official. So Kulbergs either does not understand or does not want to understand this fundamentally important difference. Secondly, which is already a matter of intelligence, it was done in a vulgar and arrogant form, which is clear evidence of Kulberg's intelligence level. All this together bodes nothing good. More - it is dangerous that the prime minister is so cowardly that he is not able to admit his mistake like a man of honor, but instead chooses a crude shout. Further - from Smiltēns' answer we clearly see that the Minister of Justice is a person who presents what he wishes as what exists, using crude demagogy. Even more dangerous - the worst expression of politics is used, Orwellian doublethink. An obvious campaigning event is called a 'meeting with residents'. The sad irony - the Minister of Justice himself breaks the law and brazenly lies, just like a caught pickpocket at a bus station. The next thing is not only disgusting, but also dangerous for the state - both AS members, and the media, and responsible institutions pretend that nothing happened. As if lying, demagogy and squandering state funds were a common thing, and in general it is more convenient to pretend that 'nothing like that happened' and 'nothing is proven'. That is the language current in 'Putlerstan', and with this we are sliding in the same direction. That is why we must not be silent about it and also not reconcile.
@OttoOzols@Apvienotais_@AndrisKulbergs I cannot comment on exaggerations and assumptions, such as that KNAB is not fulfilling its duties. A KNAB inspection is underway, residents were informed in several ways before the DeFacto story. The story reported nothing new that had not already been reported a week earlier - about that is my post.
Oh, @poznaks woke up! In politics you also need a bit of experience, first he was ready to go with Vienotība together to the EU parliament, Ašeradens being the good one, I barely arranged that nevertheless with @robertszile Then he supported everything that AS was doing, a direction to nowhere and falling lower and lower, but now he realized that - oops - others have become stronger. Meanwhile they internally fought against their own more sensible people long before I started writing on X - classic. By destroying their own, they only became weaker. How did that happen, Reinis, huh? How did you again accidentally manage this? How did you become so weak that there is no one left to work in the government when you finally got the power? Mm? Maybe @Edgars_T knows, right? The others there know nothing, that's clear... https://t.co/AJFbMQ1EJC
I disagree. The added value of this 'De facto' segment is very important for the state and its citizens - this information confirms that @Apvienotais_ prime minister @AndrisKulbergs is a person with double morality, ready to lie and use state resources, and that after Lībiņa-Egnere we again have a justice minister who lies - @EdvardsSmiltens. We also learn from the segment that KNAB is not fulfilling its tasks and continues to fear the ruling power. All these are extremely dangerous symptoms for democracy and show that we have reached the level of a deformed state.
@OttoOzols@ltvdefacto@Apvienotais_@AndrisKulbergs@EdvardsSmiltens@KNABinforme Nonsense! Questions must be asked and they were asked. Answers were also received. And KNAB was involved. The point is - that a segment is being made about something that has been discussed several times in social and traditional media, saying nothing new. What new information did the public gain? 0.
About municipal arbitrariness in territorial planning, nuclear reactors, and how much should be cut from next year's budget. An interesting conversation with Edgars Tavars. Thanks for the conversation @Edgars_Thttps://t.co/TdhexwgCwv
EXCLUSIVE: Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs wants Brussels to hand over €7 billion to help cover the military and economic costs of confronting Russia, as pressure grows over the price of the country’s hard line on Moscow. https://t.co/SAm357iA7J
Should this be understood that AS's efforts to invite the Progresīvie mankurts into its government were not a coincidence and that inside AS not everyone is thrilled about Mākoņtēvs's instruction to form a government with his business partner Ainārs?
Today bondholders supported interest capitalization. But the main thing is the business plan that is now being pushed to the Saeima: The state plans to convert €50 million in bonds into capital = effectively write them off to zero. Private creditors who have already received over €110 million in interest receive up to €125 million of debt back. The state quietly “gifts” €50 million to private creditors through the back door, while the taxpayer loses everything. Official announcement: https://t.co/KMIrElohPm@AndrisKulbergs@LapinsGirts@SlesersAinars@IvoButkevics
As a large taxpayer, it is important to me that these lombard bond interest rates are not paid from taxpayers' money. Those who were ready to take risks and invest in such junk securities must also take responsibility. Until @AndrisKulbergs started addressing this issue, the situation was absurd: AB bonds had lombard rates, but guarantees like state-issued bonds. Those who took the risk must answer for it, not me with my tax payments.
These are truly IMPRESSIVE data. Can you imagine that the state spends LESS on IT procurement per year than on NGOs!?!?! It is known that 202 million were gifted to NGOs in grants last year + there is also various “economic activity” and “other income”. In other words, does the state spend less on IT sector procurement than it gives away or buys without tenders from NGOs? @AndrisKulbergs
🎥 Why is vocational education important for Latvia's economy?
Juris Viļums in conversation with United List's Riga electoral district candidate Jānis Nipers on one of the most important issues for Latvia's growth – vocational education and specialists capable of working with new and modern technologies.
For the economy to grow, Latvia needs not only investments and ideas, but also people with knowledge and skills to implement them. That is why vocational education must be developed and adapted to what the labour market will need tomorrow.
🇱🇻 Latvia – we have a solution!
