In the next four years, the focus must be on Latvia’s economy – expenditure and waste must be reduced, but this must not happen without an economic breakthrough, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) said on “Rīta Panorāma”. 🖥️ https://t.co/gTCK6gkFEC #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/8iKBUtu4It

@EmilsBenders yes, we will certainly analyze the results in more detail later, of course. For now, these are just the first, obvious thoughts.

Listen @JurgisLiepnieks, while we were all collectively marveling at AS, or rather, Kulbergs's individual benefit performance with over 35% of the vote, perhaps you could, at some freer moment, characterize the biggest election losers and the reasons for their loss?! As for ZZS and JV, maybe even NO to the sociologically predicted catastrophe. By and large, everything is clear there. But PRO's rating drop and NA's position. What surprised me was that overall in votes NA exceeded PRO's results. Did the Eņģelis scandal have an effect?

@Mikipele6 For now there are only JV people in the services. They will work until the last.

@kr_klavins Such blackmail of the heads of those services may also be quite dangerous, given AS's ability to practically determine all matters concerning personnel appointed by the Saeima and the Government.

In the Saeima, a 2/3 majority - 67 VOTES - is needed only in a few special cases. For the rest, 51 is enough. @Apvienotais_ + @VL_TBLNNK are 51. AS+NA+JV are 58. There is no point in taking a third into the coalition if you cannot get 67. AS + NA + opposition LPV = 68 currently protect family values against pro-jenots.
