Smiltēns: The tragedy is that school-age children are involved in all of this

@Stalts That bookmark is from me. Let's see how you debate.

Šleserists demand the resignation of the Riga mayor for the possible actions of Pro's former RD faction colleague Eņģelis. It is clear that LPV is looking for any solution to break up the existing coalition. Anything will do. The main thing is their spotlights on AS and NA, that they will be almost as complicit as Eņģelis if they don't bring down Kleinbergs. JV is deliberately not mentioned. All this a day before the elections. But the extraordinary session will most likely be after. All these comments by their politicians, one after another on Facebook, can be analyzed to understand their true thinking and plans. Currently, the coalition works stably and each force manages its own oversight area. Communication between coalition parties is close and work on the ground is ongoing and progressing as planned. As for Eņģelis, let the court judge, not politicians. But the voter should decide whether Pro acted correctly or not, not LPV.

Violence loves silence. It seems fitting that the most self-righteous and loudest “defenders” of principles, rights, values, and truths – the Progressives – are the ones who kept quiet and covered up an abuser in their own ranks. They quietly asked him to resign his mandate because he “burned out.” They did not go to the police because “the victim didn’t want to.” And something else, something about the United List as well. Even the Angel (how ironic) himself is explaining an “unethical,” “unprofessional” “incident,” but everything is fine because he is “going to therapy.” How convenient. And how despicable. You have lost all shame, discredited yourselves, and undermined people’s rational perception of everything you have self-righteously and sanctimoniously raged about in recent years – both good and bad.

Since 2020, the state apparatus has grown by +10,500 employees, despite a falling number of employed people and residents. As a result of the municipal reform, where the plan was to save and reduce resources = the number of employees has grown by +2,500. Public services 🇱🇻 are 26% of GDP vs 23% in OECD countries. Public-sector employment is 24% (the highest figure) vs 18% in the OECD. State intervention in the economy has grown by 10 percentage points, to a record-high 46%. In the next 4 years, all of these indicators must be reversed — that is our ironclad plan, if we are given such an opportunity.

Imagine — NA "wants to fund the language!" That is, Latvia's national identity. Just think of the audacity! How much budget could be freed up, @AndrisKulbergs, if the state no longer funded a relic of Russia's colonial crime — the Chekhov Drama Theatre? Then the saved funds could also be redirected to strengthening Latvia's national identity. For now, the theatre is squandering state money on tasteless provocations of the "eternally offended"; that is not useful! @NaurisPuntulis @Ivars_Abolins https://t.co/clvEjS04Zj

HOW CAN ONE NOT PROMISE! - the classic once said 🗳️ PARTIES — WHO PROMISES MORE? Given this stark budget reality and the legacy left in state finances, where even borrowing up to the maximum 🇪🇺EU-allowed budget deficit limit is not enough, the pre-election promises of political parties stand out especially. They are no longer measurable in hundreds of millions — they are already measurable in billions €, moreover without financial coverage and without a real economic growth proposal. I have analysed the programmes of several political parties and summarised each party's promises in money terms for the period from 2027 to 2030. 🏆 The record holders of political "Promisers" for the next four years: 🥇 No.1 — Suverēnā Vara / Jaunlatvieši (Stepaņenko wants to give benefits, cut VAT, raise salaries): +3.61 billion € 🥈 No.2 — @LatvijaPirmaja Latvia First (@SlesersAinars – we reduce VAT on everything): +2.87 billion € 🥉 No.3 — @ZZS_ (@ViktorsValainis — promising to abolish VAT): +2.47 billion € 4️⃣ @Progresivie (@suvajevs — because money grows on trees): +2.1 billion € 5️⃣ @Jauna_Vienotiba (@aseradens — we continue borrowing endlessly): +1.56 billion € 6️⃣ @VL_TBLNNK National Alliance — (wants to fund language, education, culture and fight illegal migration, without thinking about the ECONOMY): +1.55 billion € 7️⃣ @Apvienotais_ — we will not promise what we cannot deliver, main focus on education that will pay off in the future, with justification of where we will take the funding: +763 million € When you go to vote - ask the question - HOW DO THESE BIG PROMISERS REALLY INTEND TO IMPLEMENT THEIR PROMISES, IF ALREADY TODAY THE STATE FINANCES HAVE A €420M FINANCIAL HOLE (already next year), WHICH MUST BE FILLED? And think about who left such a financial pit legacy

@AndrisKulbergs @Finmin You made it yourself and just left the FM logo in the corner of the presentation?

Unlike the other prime minister candidates, I do not have time to prepare for the debates, because I have to run the country and make very difficult decisions, such as today about the legacy left by Rail Baltica. What was shown in the studio was material prepared by myself, in which, in addition to the fresher information provided by the FM on state finances, I inserted my own analysis of all parties' irresponsible promises in programmes without funding coverage. I delve into the numbers myself and, unlike the others, we in AS do not intend to deceive the voters.

@tiklaTekla @Finmin @AndrisKulbergs Tables specially prepared by the Ministry of Finance for one party's parliamentary candidate for the purposes of pre-election debates are unauthorized use of administrative resources.

@pucej @Finmin @AndrisKulbergs is the prime minister; after all, he leads the ministers. So why should he not hold the ministry-prepared summaries? Do you think a rewriting function would add anything? Or are you simply itching for a fight?

Data researcher, who has been campaigning for state budget funds for some hundredth day now, has lost in his data several lists that are also running for the Saeima. Including “Mēs mainām noteikumus” @partijaMMN would not be advantageous, because then the Apvienotības list would no longer look so good. https://t.co/9k3FJwPApz

@AndrisKulbergs @pucej @Finmin “Mēs mainām noteikumus” @partijaMMN is not in the chart, because then they would be the leaders in promising less, and AS would no longer look so good.
