16041That's so, and? Right next to them are the French, for example, there are other plants. Investments go to Latvia, jobs and taxes too. The worst is something else. New people haven't come for about 10-20 years, that development is basically at the expense of the existing ones. Good that some of them invest. And it's important to keep them in Latgale, because some have thought of moving away, they try to talk them out of it.
From@fjodoorz@guntarsv One of you two, with Kučinskis, could have mentioned that it's a 100% Estonian company. Just so that the picture of enthusiasm would be more accurate.

@Bertaane @KokinsIngus Good that books have such a low rate. All those whose income hovers around the minimum wage buy a lot of reading material :) I'm not about imposition, but about politicians' regulatory thinking, looking for arguments why not to do something, because 'the partners won't allow it'.
From@Bertaane@KokinsIngus @Krusts3 Well, it's a pity, because we are far from 15%. But books get 5%. And the pilot project on the reduced rate is still in effect for food products. So where is the imposition that the original post was about?

From@GiorgiaMeloniToday we approved in the Council of Ministers the decree on school. A 30% limit in classes for students who do not adequately know Italian, more tools to learn our language and stop burqa and niqab in schools. Common-sense tools that do not divide, but help to truly integrate, avoiding ghetto classes and giving all students the same opportunities. This is the direction we want to continue to follow: a school that integrates without giving up rules, that supports those with more difficulties and that puts everyone in a position to start from the same point.

From@AlvisHermanis1Listening to all those debates organized by Latvian media, I see that local journalists do not understand the difference between politicians and technocrats. Politicians cannot be specialists on all specific problems of the world. However, they can be asked about their ideology and values, according to which they will then make choices and decisions when sector experts provide options. This debate style adopted by Latvian media is profanation and degradation of politics. It would be good to change the rules there too, but it looks hopeless.

What is a politician if the public media in the big debates rigs audience questions about solving personal problems? The viewer would not be wrong to conclude that the politician is the one who solves the specific voters' problems. For example, some businessman's problems. A relative's or friend's problems. Does LSM themselves realize that they are degrading politics, that is, the public's understanding of politics? And don't say that from a specific question a larger field emerges about which one may then speak. The answer is given 45 seconds. Rēders at least did not interrupt, but Bojārs also made sure that each answered directly to the personal question. Rēders probably even for a second understood the stupidity of the question when he asked Evika Siliņa whether she personally would offer a job to a high school graduate. Yesterday at one point the candidates competed in who would show more gratitude for the question and more familiarly show concern for the questioner. That's how you can talk to a person face to face, but publicly, when ten people do it in a semicircle, it looks vulgar. My reaction as a questioner would be — hold on, calm down, I just asked a question about politics, no need to come visit me at home. All this debate framework is totally leftist and technocratic. Due to lack of understanding? Or deliberately so, to make politicians out to be idiots. Is it really impossible to see a bit further than bad and good? History is not over. Nobody has abolished politics. And the natural trajectory of leftism in the 21st century also leads to hell.
At #UNGA, @ZelenskyyUa called Putin “patient zero” - the one from whom the idea of war keeps spreading. Now Taylor Swift has dropped Patient Zero, about a toxic man whose influence spreads to others. This couldn’t possibly be a coincidence. https://t.co/7gmtP7bCt6
@cirsis @edgarsj @elnormous Thank you for the explanation.
From@cirsis@edgarsj @RaivisZeltits @elnormous Greetings. This is not suspicious data collection (I am not anonymous) - it's a way to verify 'one number = one vote' to get cleaner results. They are not representative because the page's distribution is organic. Data traces will be deleted on election day and will not be used for any other purpose.

Basing your choice on a survey of 700 people (that's how many answered substantively) is certainly not ego, because the head doesn't participate in the process at all.
From@ElitaKazaineWhy is the rating important? Because 5% is the line between a political idea and representation in the Saeima. If a list does not cross this threshold, the votes cast for it do not participate in mandate distribution. Make a choice not for your own Ego, but for the future of your Latvia. https://t.co/Rki81ABMau

From@kr_klavinsThere is a myth in society that the M. Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre is anti-imperialist. But actions speak louder than an impersonal statement before the performance. Intars Rešetins - Pētersons worked at the theatre in 2022 when he was removing the fire curtain. He recalls how it really was (recorded in 2024): https://t.co/NQMb4MuGrf

From@Lato_LapsaProbably that's also why immediately after the book 'One Against the Zaņķi' I will have to finish the 1940 book, to clearly show - with what parasitic onanism the then SAB, VDD, MID were engaged in on the eve of fateful events, how full they were of influence agents and how eagerly they rushed to serve the new power. Does anyone really think that in Fedotova-Stepaņenko's time it is different?

Why is it so hard to admit that involving Progresīvie in the government was a mistake against our national security?
This is not that case. These are not any advice, but regular, rather crude provocations, trying to offend personally. Exactly like the whole Kremlin flank does. Style 1:1 from my childhood, as influenced by trained and untrained individuals in the dim times. Enough of 'advice' and attempts to influence us! I will do as I see fit!
From@Kurare123@lindberga22 @io7246 Dace, you can do better. This is not needed here, very cheap and says nothing good about you. This is a platform where people discuss. Everyone expresses their thoughts and yes, also advice.

From@janislikstsOk, decided. In these elections for @attistibai. They don't have depth in the lineup, but that's okay. The few adults who will get in will be needed in that group.
