@Aigars1972 @DassFriedrich @VL_TBLNNK @janisdombrava What can be Dombrava's immediate effect if coalition partners are not even ready to approve the informative report with the plan of restrictive measures to be taken? This is starting to resemble a decades-long fight with OUR OWN over compulsory education in the Latvian language.

@DassFriedrich Where can one see the effect of @VL_TBLNNK and @janisdombrava here?

Opened the #RigaConference2026 together with our allies @DepSecGenNATO Radmila Shekerinska and Norway’s Foreign Minister @EspenBarthEide. NATO is strong, Article 5 works, and Russia knows it. That is why we are tested at the sub-conventional level. We must invest accordingly. https://t.co/5oDEsE8XW1

SIF, or the Society Integration Foundation, in its current form must be liquidated. Only 10% of those who speak Russian are ready to defend Latvia, and only 18% are on Ukraine's side at all. The rest either support Russia, or are on neither side, or cannot answer. Therefore, this foundation no longer performs any societal integration and has exhausted itself. We must also stop supporting the Russian language through SIF. For example, allocating money to newspapers published in Russian. Because that is exactly how we raise generations who, in the LTV debate program, cannot answer the question – who owns Crimea and what role Russia plays in creating threats to Latvia. And we wonder about the election results in Latgale. Where we ourselves, with state money, have supported newspapers in Russian that, in my opinion, support Šlesers' LPV representative Aleksandrs Barteševičs. Progressives are the worst option precisely because they promise Nordic welfare to a country that hasn't yet earned Nordic wealth; they want progressive taxes from those who still create something, to feed an ever-larger state bureaucratic machine. That is not justice, it is an old social-democratic illusion. Šlesers at least doesn't hide that he wants the state to earn money; Progressives hide that they want to turn the state into their own project—green, inclusive, and poor. They include everyone except those who work and earn.

For those who have questions about lines, Ainārs, and Lenin, it's worth reading this brilliant interview by @robertszile. #KāĀmursUzNaglas

An interview by Agnese Margēviča with one of the leaders of the National Alliance, Roberts Zīle, about the current and next coalition, about taking Šlesers into the coalition, about Kulbergs' micromanagement and drawing lines in politics.

@liana_langa How should Stepaņenko's answers be assessed in the context of Article 74.1 of the Criminal Law? Are her and several other candidates' public statements about the USSR occupation and related topics just loose talk? @Valsts_drosiba

@suvajevs @Progresivie I'm herding both PRO and Lešķinski here on Twitter. Honestly, I don't even know if there's a difference as to which of you is more useful to the Kremlin. Leščinskis licks publicly, but PRO pushes through decisions that ultimately perfectly match the result needed by the Kremlin's puppet.

@AbeleTrifele @LV_visiem @kr_klavins @KuzminsPavels @VinilaValdis @liana_langa Our relatives' built house in Riga still today is inhabited by descendants of the occupiers, who moved into the newly built house with all the belongings that were built for the young couple for their wedding, but the newlyweds were deported because the husband was a police officer in free Latvia.

❗️In 2025, the government had minister Atis Švinka, who supported changes to exam rules 4 days(!) before the exam. Now Atis Švinka and the Progressives criticize that the VL-TBLNNK minister is pushing changes 10 months before the exam. This is not populism, right? #politika #Saeima
