Reflections after today's “KNL”. The Latvian state is a conglomerate. Mortals usually cannot manage a conglomerate, so two supermen have applied (Kulbergs and Dombrava). They delve into EVERYTHING. I still want to insist that the conglomerate itself is the real enemy. The real Superman will be not the one who heroically manages the conglomerate, but the one who destroys it, creating in its place a humane, small, but effective administration. Here we need someone who cuts the Gordian knot, not one who heroically unravels it.

Jānis Dombrava (NA) responds that the National Alliance is ready to liquidate KEM, with Jānis Vitenbergs working on it, and a final decision will be made in early October. That, however, is news to the coalition partners.

The coachman is good, but the content of the carriage hasn't changed much, evaluating Kulbergs' government, ironically says Linda Liepiņa (LPV). She finds the delay in 'shortening' the state administration, for example, the liquidation of KEM, incomprehensible.

Andris Šuvajevs from the Progressives gives Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) a 9 for communication on social networks; in his opinion, the public was thirsty for this kind of communication. He directs criticism at the speed of decision-making.

⚠️ Why did the news services of Latvian Radio and Latvian Television NOT operate in crisis mode during and after the storm? Just now, a SEPLP representative explained to Saeima deputies in a presentation that they had followed THE LETTER OF THE LAW - neither President Rinkēvičs, nor Prime Minister Kulbergs, nor the ministers of the Cabinet of Ministers had declared a state of emergency. Therefore, the radio and television program was not changed and adapted to the real crisis situation. While people were left without electricity, communications, and necessary information, public media continued their usual programming. For the bureaucracy, there was NO CRISIS SITUATION - so everything was fine on air as well! Fantastic state administration logic: we don't declare a state of emergency and then announce that there was no basis to work in crisis mode.

🤬MODEL LESSON OF BUREAUCRACY!

“One of the former directors, who knew old Hermanis and his family well, just told me that the young Hermanis in his life has hardly ever dug a shovel into the ground with his own hands…” How common this creature turns out to be. https://t.co/3jRfLpuO6o

One of the former prime ministers, who knew the old Kulbergs and his family well, just told me that the young Kulbergs has hardly read a single book in his life. Of course, the garage boss could theoretically run the country too, but at this critical moment we need leaders who act decisively against: 1. immigration and 2. bureaucracy. Without wavering. Who are not dependent on the old system, on all that political-economic swamp created during Šķēle's time that still holds the entire Latvian nation hostage.

@yukabrother After Kulbergs' viģika no. 68, I no longer agree with that. If a person openly stands against fighting immigration and bureaucracy, then he is dangerous to the Latvian state and that must be said directly and openly.

@AlvisHermanis1 Don't mumble and don't insult Kulbergs and his family whom you don't even know but I do. Whatever, he reads a lot! Don't mix political life with private life!

@preteklis @kasparsskincs @janisdombrava @AndrisKulbergs Accidents involving operational service transport are nothing unusual, and yes, they are nothing special. It is not a minister-level duty to delve into accidents.

@zuravlevs @kasparsskincs @janisdombrava @AndrisKulbergs Every day accidents involving police operational transport? 😵‍💫 Or did you mean to say that this particular one is 'nothing special'?

@thejaniz @MGruskevics @AivarsLembergs @AndrisKulbergs @janisdombrava @VL_TBLNNK I believe there is a great desire to prevent this document and later all amendments to the normative acts, and it will always be too late, too few who have read it, those who still need to improve something, etc. This was a very serious signal we received yesterday about postponing the issue.

@EdvardsRatnieks @MGruskevics @AivarsLembergs @AndrisKulbergs @janisdombrava @VL_TBLNNK Well, nobody is braking. I just don't believe that this would be postponed again and again. I just don't believe it. How many 47-page documents does a minister have to review in a day? How many such proposals must be read?

Today others also learned that Kulberg will never go against reducing bureaucracy and against restricting immigration (see Kulberg's video No. 68). Because the LDDK/LTRK (from where he entered politics) business and university lobby has already brought those migrants here. He may be a good blogger and, as a car salesman, has well polished the art of fooling people, but he is unfit for the job of prime minister. It is month 3 and not a single (!) thing has been done. Rinkevičs knew well that by choosing this empty talker, three hares would be shot at once: the old governance order preserved, a second term guaranteed for himself, and the gullible part of the Latvian people fed an illusion of grand reforms until 3 Oct.

@marisrumba1957 @Krisjanis_K @AndrisKulbergs The government only adopts decisions that are agreed in part A of its meetings, and adopts those that are not agreed in part B. And don't think that immigration supporters will agree on this. :)

@Krisjanis_K @EdvardsRatnieks @AndrisKulbergs what is unclear? NA received 4.5% in the last poll. I wouldn't want to believe that NA is so stupid that it doesn't know that the government only adopts agreed decisions.

If Kulberg's office manager has time in the middle of the day to write arguing comments under my post, then the country is being run by a charlatan. A bit scary.

Maybe it is enough to hide behind bureaucratic procedure and clearly say that Kulbergs and NA have fundamentally different views on migration. NA believes that there are already too many migrants in Latvia. Kulbergs—that more are needed, because Latvians are leaving and someone is needed to warm Latvia’s economy in their place. Kulbergs’ full argument can be heard in the Saeima Defence Committee recording of 5 May this year https://t.co/0381jD1CU6 , where he justifies his “golden visa” proposals in the Immigration Law. It is not a crime to think that way. Many businessmen (Šlesers, Šķēle) think similarly: economic gain above all. But this approach is incompatible with NA’s strict immigration stance. Saying that Dombrava’s plan is bad because it lacks formal approvals is rather strange, especially since the document has already gone through two rounds of coordination with ministries since July. The problem is not formalities. The content is not liked. Kulbergs simply does not support the strict immigration restrictions that NA offers. And he looks for excuses to slow it down. That’s all.

DAY No. 68 in the prime minister's chair — Dombrava's imitated MIGRANT struggle @VL_TBLNNK hysteria about immigration sometimes looks like a spoiled kindergartener. Here is everything you need to know about @janisdombrava's 'theater battle' with immigration. 🎭 Apparently Dombrava is not interested in a real result in restricting migration, but in loud and pointless shouting. It is a pity that their own voters are fooled in this way. Interior Minister Dombrava apparently still has not understood what it means to be a minister and how work happens in the Cabinet of Ministers. I would suggest his more experienced NA colleagues — @KasparsGerhards, @IIndriksone or Mūrniece — explain what it means to prepare and submit an informative report (IZ) to the government. ❓ How do Dombrava and NA even imagine pushing a FULLY UNSYNCHRONIZED issue to a government meeting? Just because they felt like it? 📸 The screenshot from the MK TAP portal shows everything as clear as day: ➡️ Dombrava's informative report was submitted on Monday, 31 August, at 12:59 — only about 1.5 hours before the coalition meeting; ➡️ the document is completely unsynchronized with 14 institutions — not with the Ministry of Justice, Finance, Economy, Foreign Affairs, Welfare, Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Health, the State Chancellery, @darbadeveji, @LTRK_uznemeji, etc. Simply coming in, throwing a document into the government and then announcing that 'everyone is against fighting immigration' is dull, cheap and populist voter fishing with no basis. 🤝 At the coalition meeting we all agreed that the document must be coordinated, and this Friday a special political meeting is being organized to agree on its content point by point. Apparently even that seems superfluous to Dombrava, if noise is more important than results. ⚠️ And the objections are not formal — they are very substantial. For example, Dombrava suddenly imagined suing TWO European Commission commissioners and proposing amendments to an EU directive. The Foreign Ministry has significant objections to that. The interior minister cannot simply bypass all Cabinet working procedures, throw a document unsynchronized with anyone into the government and demand an immediate decision. Many ministers had not even had time to familiarize themselves with the document today. 📌 Moreover, there is no talk of some 'stuck coordination'. There has not even been a normal coordination cycle! The document must first be prepared properly, go through coordination and be brought to a government decision. Only then can one say that someone is blocking it. Dombrava simply did not do his homework. The facts are simple: 1️⃣ A project can be submitted to the government agenda if it is submitted by Wednesday evening. This project was already submitted on Monday, 31 August, at 12:59, shortly before the coalition meeting. 2️⃣ After clarifying the project, it was not sent to ministries for a repeated opinion. 3️⃣ The argument about delay does not hold up — the report has had almost three months since the beginning of June to be prepared. 🎯 If we really want to restrict illegal migration, we need results, prepared decisions and professional work, not loud slogans and political theater.

It is precisely Kulbergs's responsibility as prime minister to fulfill what was promised in his government declaration about restricting migration. Given the sensitive nature of the immigration issue, already in June he should have summoned the ministers to himself and politically agreed on the main measures to restrict migration. Can it really be that none of the prime minister's advisers can tell him this? And only then give the task to officials to put it on paper. Experience shows that officials are able to carry out such political agreements even within 24 hours. Instead, 3 months of dawdling with bureaucratic procedures. The government must be led. And that is not done on social media with video filming. And also in Kariņš's style, leading the government only with resolutions is no longer possible.
