Upon taking office as Prime Minister, much has been promised. I will mention two things that @AndrisKulbergs said: 1) The warm-up period will be one day; 2) The fight against corruption. Andris's ability to act immediately in the case of the Ministry of Agriculture and LVM will show Kulberg's true desire to fight corruption (and the huge risks of being drawn into its grasp). You will ask - can the Prime Minister do anything? Yes, even immediately issue a prime ministerial resolution to the Minister of Agriculture to publish LVM financial documents and cash flows that would show the ways and extent of the Ministry of Agriculture's 'own pocket' management. Name all organizations and subordinate institutions that have fed from LVM's undisclosed and accumulated money. The task must be sufficiently broad and specific to expose the schemes practiced by ZZS to the public. Leaving everything as is, ZZS under the leadership of @uldisaugulis will continue to squander LVM and MoA finances.

I wish @AndrisKulbergs endurance, a clear vision, and determination to carry out what has been planned. May he succeed in making bold and decisive decisions for the benefit of Latvia. I wish the new government to work as a united team and to be able to find the best solutions for our country in these geopolitically turbulent times.

👏 Congratulations to @AndrisKulbergs and his newly elected government! 🙌 We wish clear vision and the ability to make bold decisions at a time when economic growth, security and public welfare issues are especially important for the country. 🤝 We are aware of what it means to take responsibility five months before elections, so the new government can count on our support as social partners and involvement in implementing common solutions. https://t.co/Df5mRcF1Hu

Seeing the events of the last hours and the way the new government was formed, my conscience did not allow me to press the button in support of it. At the same time, I can promise that my deputy's vote will always be for state-minded decisions based on public interests. I hope colleagues will be able to understand that.

I believe that @AndrisKulbergs, in order to secure the support of a majority from @Jauna_Vienotiba for the approval of his government, must ensure that various dubious characters do not stand close to his government. Forgive me, but the raids of @MGruskevics and @guntarsv at the Council of Ministers in recent days inspire no trust in me.

@MGruskevics @AndrisKulbergs @Jauna_Vienotiba @guntarsv Hi, Marek! One thing is to collegially support one project, which in this case was a rally, quite another is to support your style in government formation negotiations. 😉

@DDaugavietis45 @AndrisKulbergs @Jauna_Vienotiba @guntarsv Good evening, @DDaugavietis45! What has changed in our previous collegial relations? 🤷🏻‍♂️

What is @edgarsrinkevics’s assessment of A. Kulbergs’s decision to invite a ZZS representative to continue leading the Ministry of Agriculture? Coalition compromises are understandable, but this is about a ministry with a fresh audit of poor governance, manipulation of profits, and potential corruption. https://t.co/9YczSeP0vd

If after the timber industry affair and the devastating State Audit review, Kulbergs still offered this portfolio to ZZS, then there is only one conclusion - political cover-up will continue. A resounding 'no' to corruption turned out to be just a first-moment slogan. https://t.co/0IVVN5HE2W

Key findings from the State Audit audit of the timber industry affair: - Krauze did not provide full information to the government; - The government and the Ministry of Agriculture were not entitled to decide on such a matter at all. The first test for A. Kulbergs: whether he will yield to ZZS's wish to continue 'managing' the Ministry of Agriculture. https://t.co/mYZm1N826f

🙌 LDDK Director General @KasparsGorkss met on 19 May with the presidential candidate for Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs to discuss the priorities of a potential new government. 🗣️ “We wish Andris Kulbergs success in forming a new, capable government with support in the Saeima. The new government needs to agree on a short but achievable to-do list, and it can fully count on our support as social partners, because we understand what it means to take responsibility five months before elections. We expect a clear, decisive analysis from the new government of what is needed for our National Armed Forces so that in peacetime we do not live as in wartime. We have both security experts and funding. We must conclude what needs to change so that the life of a whole region is not constantly paralyzed and society is not in fear. That must be a priority for both the government and the armed forces,” said LDDK Director General Kaspars Gorkss. ✅ From the LDDK side, the position on the need to review state budget spending is supportable, and it is also necessary to strengthen the efficiency of public administration. We propose renewing the memorandum agreement signed by the three political forces forming the potential core of the government and will place at Andris Kulbergs' disposal the experience gathered in the 2026 budget review process.
