@thejaniz Not at all. I am not talking about what Kulbergs has done or not done, but about the political offering. How is it radically different from the previous government?

@Krusts3 As I understand, if you were in power these 4 months, then ezpz you would do it, right? :D

Kulbergs hasn't even squeaked about the liquidation of the Climate Ministry, the shutting down of the SIF, halting the airBaltic subsidy, revising the Saeima election law, denouncing the Migration Pact, selling student visas, security checks of city mayors by security institutions, cancelling subsidies for electric car purchases, the ban on burning peat, etc. decisions initiated, supported and implemented by JV, PRO, ZZS. Why should he be considered a revolutionary? He now signs students' diplomas.

Latvian politics. Despair is rapidly turning into hysteria. “Dear people, listen! He is not the real revolutionary! I am, I am, dear people! He is a fake prime minister!” https://t.co/KxmmWtu74x

@kukseriks I agree, there is a large representation of progressives in Unity both historically and now, but it is a discussion many are not ready for.

@StankevicsA Unity sabotaged the status of the Latvian language even when progressives had not yet been born. Everything Unity is doing now is preparing for the autumn elections, while keeping its hand on the throat of the Kulbergs government so that it does not run too far from the Brussels/Davos agenda...

One of the promises written into the government declaration by Andris Kulbergs (AS) is to stop trade with Russia and Belarus. However, there is still little clarity about the practical steps to achieve this. https://t.co/Ulnvu1Ci4g https://t.co/pRiVFmC9NG

I thank 🇱🇻 the Finance Minister and @EBRD Governor @MarisKucinskis for a substantive exchange of views. Among other things, we introduced foreign colleagues to the challenges faced by the border regions of Russia and Belarus. We will continue working to ensure comprehensive 🇪🇺 support for these regions and their inhabitants.

A constructive meeting with the new prime minister @AndrisKulbergs — many issues where our views align. Rīgas siltums needs a single owner — either the municipality (Riga proves it can do better) or the state, but the situation where neither side holds a majority in the company cannot continue. In recent days we also hear broad discussions about the new municipal equalization fund. I emphasized to the prime minister that Riga has no problem making contributions to the regions, but we must not do this at the expense of the capital and metropolis's economic development. There needs to be a proportionate solution that motivates municipalities to do more, rather than fight each other over one formula or another. Because at the end of the day — the bigger Riga's economy becomes, the more all of Latvia gains.

Time for @MarisKucinskis and @AndrisKulbergs to step out of the opposition populism slippers. KEM has more functions than some old ministry, and climate is the smallest % we addressed in EU energy and environment. Of course, I got firewood and woodchips recognized as renewable resources, but Latvia still has a lot of work in energy.

In A. Kulbergs' government declaration, there is an agreement on centralized management of state capital companies. Today in the Saeima, the vote on the obligation for the government to prepare a centralization proposal was rejected. It is already becoming difficult to understand what the coalition's true positions are.

Today is a long day, but a very symbolic and meaningful day, because I had the honor of hosting the first foreign guest at @Brivibas36 - namely, the Prime Minister of Ukraine @Svyrydenko_Y. From the very first minute we had a very pleasant and super constructive conversation about the 🇱🇻 and 🇺🇦 defense drone alliance cooperation agreement, which will give a significant boost to improving the security of our airspace and to launching co-production of the military industry. Tomorrow we are going to @Latvenergo, where together with @ViktorsValainis we are preparing to gift a TEC cogeneration unit with 120MW of electricity and 260MW of heat capacity, so that 🇺🇦 can install it in time and provide the residents of the city of Kharkiv with heat for the upcoming heating season. Thank you to the whole team for the work, @Braze_Baiba for 🇺🇦's progress towards 🇪🇺 and the well-prepared visit, Defense Minister Melnis for the progress of the drone alliance agreement and the comprehensive defense plan with 🇺🇦, @EdvardsSmiltens for the work on developing a solution to extend the status of 30,000 🇺🇦 refugees in 🇱🇻 after February 2027. The entire protocol and foreign affairs service deserves praise for the well-organized visit. Tomorrow it all continues. I will continue to report to you from the MP side about what is happening.

🏛️ Today is a symbolic and nationally significant moment. After nearly eight years, coalition cooperation meetings return to the Saeima building. Once, as Speaker of the Saeima, I invited then Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš to move these meetings back to parliament. Not because the venue matters most, but because the logic of the state system matters. Latvia is a parliamentary democracy. The government is formed by the Saeima majority. The coalition is not the government's property. It is the Saeima majority's political agreement on responsibility before the state. Therefore it is right that political cooperation, in which the working issues of the Saeima and the government are coordinated, takes place in the Saeima building - the place where the democratic mandate is born, where the vote of confidence in the government is given, and where the government is politically accountable to the people's elected representatives. With the formation of the government led by the United List, this order is being restored. It is a small step in everyday politics, but a significant step in the culture of parliamentarism. 🇱🇻 The state begins with the Constitution. The foundation of the Saeima is the trust mandate of the Latvian people. The government begins with the trust of the Saeima. And the coalition must remember where its mandate comes from. #demokratija #satversme #parlamentarisms #valdiba #apvienotaissaraksts @Apvienotais_ @LRApvieniba

At the same time, it is important to me that in the discussion on this topic we stick to facts and data. For example, the flotilla participants you mention in your post, who claim to have suffered sexual violence, never actually reached Gaza. They claim these incidents occurred in Israel.

@MStakis @Krista_Baumane You write correctly, Mārtiņ, about them being French citizens. Also I don't understand how one can destroy one's own city. Similarly in Germany. If I'm not mistaken, around 70% of crimes committed there are by immigrants and their descendants. We have the opportunity to prevent this, as the Poles do.

The unrest in Paris is a fact - the internet is full of videos. The 700 detained people cannot be deported anywhere, because for the most part they are descendants of second or third generation immigrants, born in France and being French citizens. Some football hooligans (especially the so-called ultras) are ethnic French. This phenomenon - destroying one's own city - I will never understand.

@Krista_Baumane Please type #psg in the search engine and you will get videos with pages from last night, this morning in Paris. Don't be naive and gullible welcomist! 👍 Free Palestine supporters in Gaza were raped when they went on a support mission quite recently. That's it, for thought.

@aiga_balode @AndrisKulbergs At the time when I was Minister of Transport, support and additional information was provided to the prosecutor's office from the ministry's side. According to public information, KNAB has interrogated more than 60 people. The investigation continues.

@atis_svinka @AndrisKulbergs Thank you! As I recall, after the Saeima investigation committee, not on the initiative of Progresīvie's Briškens. When you took office, nothing additional appeared? Okay, let's wait. 🙂🥱 it probably won't be fast, hardly by October.
