@SupaGreeg @raudseps Without what mandate? It was the Saeima deputies who adopted it.

@raudseps SK was adopted without a voter mandate. These elections prove that ZZS voters did not give ZZS a mandate to vote for SK. The adoption of SK was contrived and underhanded. AS should think twice about whether they really also want to be punished for shifting into reverse.

My warmest congratulations to @AndrisKulbergs on his convincing victory in Latvia’s parliamentary elections. @AndrisKivics I didn't understand that flash mob of crossing Ceriņš out — what has he done, defected, betrayed?

I am glad that Jonīte, traitor Ceriņš, and the tennis-ball manipulation have not been diagnosed. But I would vote for Dace Bargo.

It was precisely the government's internal squabbles and delays with changes that were one of the reasons why some residents stayed at home – that is how Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) assesses the low voter turnout. He stresses that there will be no room for huge compromises in the new government, and promises strict control over coalition partners so that no 'gifts' are prepared in the last weeks of the government change. #Vēlēšanas2026 🖥️ https://t.co/wB2V6DOKaJ

In these elections, “Latvija pirmajā vietā” showed the second-best result. It received 13% of the votes. The party's leader Ainārs Šlesers, both during the pre-election period and now, continues to repeat that the new government for the “Apvienotais saraksts” of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs must be formed together with him. The math allows it on one hand, but that alone is not enough. #Vēlēšanas2026

@MareksMillers I am not a member of the NA party, but such an election result cannot be assessed positively. In this geopolitical situation, a good result for the party would have been 20 percent of the votes.

@kr_klavins And what conclusions should NA draw? I think it is not only AS politicians who should hear something…

Kulbergs has actually climbed too high, his reserve bench is not ready for that. But better let him harden his own people; we will forgive those mistakes, rather than leave the position of "the only adults in the room," as they have elevated themselves. Arrogance must be punished, and one must not become infected with it oneself.

The recent 15th Saeima elections brought a series of records. Voter turnout was the lowest since the restoration of independence, and the winner of these elections, the United List, won 41 seats – this is the best historical achievement by a single party in parliamentary elections. #Vēlēšanas2026 🖥️ https://t.co/nLTL0H9r1x

Conclusions. The only thing I regret is that the election method proposed by MMN would make it possible to get a parliament with at least 30 Kulbergs and another 30 people far smarter than Kulberg, because the ban on combining offices would also be lifted. We represented those people who saw the cause of the problem rather than fighting the consequences. Thank them! Over the past six months, since MMN appeared, we have already made a considerable contribution to the common cause: we have radically changed Latvia's political agenda — changing the rules in state administration, or the general overhaul, became the main discourse in party rhetoric, and MMN's ideas became the main content of Kulberg's famous evening video selfies. Because, as he himself admitted on Domburs' show, AS had no program at all. We are not jealous, quite the opposite — we are glad that our ideas are being used as an instruction for action, and together with the rest of society we hope that Kulberg will succeed in implementing MMN's political program in practice as well. We would have done it better ourselves, but this option isn't bad either. Let's hope. It is also important that we have removed the JV/Pro monopoly from the race. Their era is over, and the state has at least been given hope of recovery. The immigration matters, however, make me worried. Because Kulberg supports bringing in low-skilled labor, and that will inevitably become an existential threat in the long term. And, finally, there is now a possibility that Rinkevičs definitely needs to be sent back to live with his mom. Because during a war, exposing the entire nation to security risks and putting Sprūds/Siliņa in charge just to get to live in the Castle was unforgivable. We got lucky. But it's not over yet. Thanks again to the MMN camp. At least we tried.
