Well said @EdvardsSmiltens https://t.co/w8bwEVR11r

Inese Lībiņa-Egnere (JV) and Edvards Smiltēns (AS) argue about Latvia's inability to achieve the desired result in changes to the sanctions list. Smiltēns accuses the politician of 'dirty populism' and asks: 'Have you really lost all honor?' Ainārs Šlesers (LPV) also joins the discussion, stating that Foreign Minister Baiba Braže 'completely failed like an old fence'. ▶️ Watch 'Next, please!': https://t.co/6Mxyu5nV2W #SIF_MAF2026

I see, tomorrow to the third reading, a communist mess. Interesting whether the ruling coalition led by AS and @AndrisKulbergs will approve Judins' (JV) initiative to criminalize business with absurd prison sentences for possible prohibited agreements between entrepreneurs?

Strong municipal supervision is in the interests of residents. Not that populist talk from AS or ZZS that municipalities are “untouchable”. Municipalities must not break the law, ignore society’s long-term interests, or ignore common sense. But that is exactly what the above-mentioned want. If such amendments had been adopted 5 years ago, Ušakovs would be mayor of Riga and the “big” ministers would be throwing up their hands and making backroom deals.

AS have also caught the arrogance virus, going to pre-selected 'working people' and posting syrupy texts AFTER THE MEETING.. God forbid they run into the ordinary provincial public, lest they ruin the pretty picture. We've already had 5-6 such light-bearer little Antons...

Has the previous government done anything good? Voter Anete wanted to ask this to the United List prime ministerial candidate Andris Kulbergs. 🗳️ Before the elections, we gathered young people in the "Ir" newsroom who explained what issues concern them and what they expect from the next Saeima. They also had the opportunity to ask politicians questions that interest them. Follow other candidates' answers on our social media too! "What example are you showing?!" Kulbergs' glass of beer stirs sharp discussions about politicians' responsibility before the public.

How to balance the state budget if expenses keep growing? On TV24 program “Pre-election debates. Fight for Latvia”, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs raised the question of the state budget deficit and growing expenses. In the discussion, Finance Minister Arvils Ašeradens stated that he disagrees with such an assessment, emphasizing the importance of economic growth and defense funding. Andris Kulbergs, in turn, raised the question of how the state plans to balance growing expenses and budget capabilities. A new reality could be here as soon as next week. Diesel fuel could cost close to €3.00/l due to this US diesel export ban. That means a huge blow to the economy and exports. Now the Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs, as a true transport and auto sector expert, could play a leading role in reducing the comprehensive EU minimum excise level. Because such a price level will mean that transport companies will go bankrupt, many regional transport services will not take place, etc. Is anything already being done in this area, @MGruskevics?

Rudīt, sorry for the inability to perceive the generalizations and assumptions you express.

Yeah, that's too complicated for you. You are no longer a journalist who can do a lot, but a politician. With your opinion at the moment you are not defending, but on the contrary - showing that the head of government is not coping with his duties. Read what @JurgisLiepnieks said.

@AlksneR @ainarsgrieze @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs Sorry, Rudīte, I still didn’t understand what you said. Do you think that expressing an opinion is interfering with the government’s work? How exactly could that happen?

@CerinsAivis @ainarsgrieze @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs You shouldn’t interfere in the government’s work. Different level. Not the ordinary person either.

@UsulisBintars @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs Noted that writing wedding scripts and organizing corporate events is yellow👌 thanks, I really didn't know that nuance. But it's commendable that you're getting involved in civic activity🫡

@CerinsAivis @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs Aivis, stay in your yellow entertainment sphere and don't mess with stupid things in politics. 😂
