@EAkimovs Exactly what security protocol violation?
From@EAkimovs@AndrisKulbergs If the head of state flies economy class, then each such flight is an elementary security protocol violation and one should not be proud of it.

Latvia's overall financial situation is an exact mirror of AirBaltic - we live off borrowed money, there is no income, and we simply spend. If we continue like this, at some point we will be right where AirBaltic is. Read the full interview below ⏬️ https://t.co/5XsCOauXWX

@VilnisKirsis @Olafs_Pulks @RigasDome @Jauna_Vienotiba Great work, I use this route almost every day both by car and by bike👍
From@VilnisKirsisThe Zemitāni overpass and the mobility point at the station have been officially opened! After major repairs, the overpass is safer and more convenient for all road users. Together with the mobility point, it will form a transport hub where it will be easier for Riga residents to transfer from one mode of transport to another! https://t.co/0A4Di2IPkD

Registered unemployment in Vidzeme is lower than the Latvian average: 4.1% versus 4.6%. People are working. However, last year the average gross wage in Vidzeme was €365 per month lower than in the country as a whole. That is why our goal is more well-paid jobs in the regions. For the UNITED LIST, the priorities are clear: security and the economy. A secure state gives entrepreneurs confidence to invest. Orderly state finances allow investment in development. Our task is to ensure that investment and better-paid jobs also reach Vidzeme and other Latvian regions. A person should not have to leave their municipality to receive decent pay for their work. 💶 Video: LTV Vidzeme leaders' debate “Choose the Future!” (24.09.)

Municipalities are an entire parallel system (to the central government), which in total costs more than the average for OECD countries. A politically very strong group, which is why they also manage to take more from the budget. But. The basic problem behind the costliness is teachers’ salaries; the state provides their base. If education policy is a priority at 5 and the Ministry of Education and Science recently tried to introduce classes of three children, then in the end you come to kaiser-court politics. Several “governesses” for every child. And that is simply very expensive. That is why the number of children is falling, but spending is rising.
From@Astridamains@guntarsv @aseradens The state budget's increasing transfers to municipalities aren't really related to grabbing, are they?

On Elksniņš's office door, which every Daugavpils economic manager sees before the morning meeting, is @aseradens. The minister knew that next year a budget crisis would set in. He knew where their own tradition of squabbling would lead, but he slipped off the stage, so now others have to swallow what Vienotība cooked up🫠
That's so, and? Right next to them are the French, for example, there are other plants. Investments go to Latvia, jobs and taxes too. The worst is something else. New people haven't come for about 10-20 years, that development is basically at the expense of the existing ones. Good that some of them invest. And it's important to keep them in Latgale, because some have thought of moving away, they try to talk them out of it.
From@fjodoorz@guntarsv One of you two, with Kučinskis, could have mentioned that it's a 100% Estonian company. Just so that the picture of enthusiasm would be more accurate.

In essence yes, but unfortunately it was not for Latvia to decide.
From@GundegaFelicity@CerinsAivis @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs Should sanctions have been blocked?

Today I was in Daugavpils, and we also visited several companies. I was surprised. They produce world-class equipment that is exported to 170 countries. German police, foreign services, airports. What kind of equipment? Passport inspection scanners, for example. Equipment for examining forged documents and the like. Our airport has them too. There is only one country in the world where their operations are planned to be cancelled. That is Latvia. Which country to evacuate to? Maybe not necessary. We will try to fix this legislator's mistake.

@GundegaFelicity @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs For example, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should have timely submitted information to the Cabinet of Ministers that the relevant situation was developing.
From@GundegaFelicity@CerinsAivis @Braze_Baiba @AndrisKulbergs What exactly, in your opinion, is the failure in all this? A protest against the removal of the specific oligarch from the sanctions?

From@the_ins_ruDaddy's girl. Who is vying for the prime minister's seat in Latvia https://t.co/cPBSVf07ty Return the Russian language to schools, preserve monuments and not fund 'military conflicts' — promises the increasingly popular party 'Sovereign Power' in Latvia. Its leader Yulia Stepanenko is applying for the post of prime minister. However, as The Insider found out, the candidate for deputy has close ties with her father Sergei Fedotov in Russia. He gives his daughter large sums of money and real estate, while supporting the Russian army and maintaining acquaintances with former arms baron Viktor Bout. The Insider's film crew went to Latvia and tried to figure out who Russian-speakers vote for, whether they really consider themselves disadvantaged, and what influence of the Kremlin remains in the country.

From@sashasuhanovJulia Stepanenko's father, living in Russia, receives a multi-million state contract for defensive structures, after which he sends his daughter more than half a million euros, which she uses to sponsor her election campaign in Latvia. In debates, Julia screams that she will bring back Russian schools and cancel support for Ukraine. This is not corruption, this is direct interference in Latvian elections.

@ltvzinas People still haven't understood that electricity produced by wind and solar panels simply doesn't work and cannot operate without stabilization by electricity produced by hydro and thermal power plants…
From@ltvzinas“As long as Latvia's economy remains largely dependent on such fossil resources, we will be vulnerable in this way, [..] so we must think about ways in which we can strengthen Latvia's energy independence,” said Andris Šuvajevs, head of the 'Progressive' Saeima faction, in an interview on 'Morning Panorama'. 🖥️ https://t.co/VGNQ8qmBNc
