Here is a legal aspect - when dismissing, there must immediately be someone who is allowed to sign papers, to answer for the company's operations. A temporary council must be installed so that it can legitimately appoint a temporary board = that's elementary logic, after all. Competitions for permanent positions will be held for all posts without delay. This is temporary, so that operations do not stop. That the whole system is rotten has long been clear, but to change it takes time, in the meantime we must act in accordance with existing legislation.

@karlis_serzants Funny how Kulbergs with this shows that Unity's Kozlovskis may get a green light to again put the same kind of pointless parasites from the count's entourage on the council, nothing good is to be expected there. Kulbergs demonstrated that he is flesh and blood of Unity.

Today is 35 years since Latvia regained independence... here is my speech delivered today in the Saeima on the occasion of the event: “The Latvian state is the foundation of our people's security and well-being, of our nation's development, of the Latvian language and culture. But the state is not a service that someone guarantees to us. Alongside our many everyday roles, we are first and foremost citizens of Latvia. Not only with rights. Each of us has duties to our state. A soldier defends the state with his readiness to sacrifice his life in the name of the state's freedom. A teacher – by passing on his knowledge to the next generation. Medics – by saving people's lives. Entrepreneurs – by honestly paying taxes and developing Latvia's economy. Farmers – by tending our fathers' land and ensuring food security. Parents – by raising children as patriots of our state.”

Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs: 35 years ago Latvia regained independence, and our duty is to protect it. 🇱🇻

@SkaidriteIesal7 @edgarsrinkevics Why is someone always misleading - nobody said to deny access - simply put a connection filter via e-signature or SmartID, so that bots, AI scrapers, and anonymous agents couldn't easily get through.

💶 EUR 26.8 million – money that could potentially go toward the public good. Latvian banks currently hold more than 39,000 long-unused accounts containing a total of approximately EUR 26.8 million. The Saeima has supported in the second reading a clear procedure for how to handle these funds. A client will have 5 years to apply and receive their money. If it is not claimed, the funds will come under state control. This procedure will not apply to Latvian residents, nor to frozen funds, funds seized in criminal proceedings, or funds subject to collection. When this money comes under state control, it must be used meaningfully and in the interests of the whole public! Children are our present and also our future. That is why I propose directing it to the creation of a Safe House for Children and Youth. ℹ️ The bill still needs the Saeima's final approval.

This is important. Otherwise Latgale's court would have had a serious overload.

🧑🏼‍⚖️ Immigration-related cases will now be able to be distributed more evenly among courts throughout Latvia. ✅ The Saeima has adopted in the final reading amendments to the Immigration Law that will allow cases related to detained foreigners to be distributed more evenly among district courts throughout Latvia. Until now, these cases were largely concentrated in the Latgale District Court, creating a disproportionate additional burden. At the Saeima's out-of-town sitting in Latgale, we heard this problem very clearly from court representatives. We did not put this issue aside – we acted, and today the solution has been adopted. This means we will be able to use the capacity of the court system more wisely – if the volume of work increases significantly in one region, part of the cases can be redirected to courts where resources are available. This will help reduce the workload of one court and ensure more timely consideration of other cases as well. 💻 Importantly, the hearing of cases will be possible remotely using video conferencing, so transferring a case to another Latvian court will not require the physical transfer of the detained person to that court, and thus will not create expenses related to bringing the person to court. At the same time, court control, the grounds for detention, and the procedural guarantees of the person remain unchanged. Only the procedure for case distribution changes – so that the court system throughout Latvia can work more efficiently and resiliently. The court system must be sufficiently flexible to use resources where they are most needed at any given moment!

Another migrant tunnel found in Latvia near the Belarus border. Border guards yesterday in Krāslava detected 28 people who entered Latvia through this tunnel, and in the Kaplava border guard unit area, 20m from the border, came across an underground passage camouflaged under moss. https://t.co/yfxqQkJ9MU https://t.co/s4WTLaTDlJ

🇱🇻 August 21 - Day of Restoration of Latvia's StatehoodnToday APVIENOTAIS SARAKSTS laid flowers at the Freedom Monument, honoring the people whose courage and conviction 35 years ago allowed Latvia to fully restore its state independence.nOn August 21, 1991, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Latvia adopted the constitutional law 'On the State Status of the Republic of Latvia', concluding the restoration of independence de facto. This historic decision was made at a time when occupation forces' armored vehicles were in Doma Square and a military helicopter circled above the parliament building.nToday we remember with gratitude those who took responsibility for Latvia and its future at the decisive moment.n🇱🇻 Our duty is to protect what they won - a free, independent and democratic Latvia.nPhoto: Saeima.n#APVIENOTAISSARAKSTS #Latvija #21augusts #LatvijasNeatkarība #Brīvība

Today we lay flowers at the Freedom Monument, honouring the people who 35 years ago took responsibility for Latvia's future and restored our state independence. On 21 August 1991, Latvia strengthened its independence not only with courage but also with a legal decision – the Supreme Council adopted the constitutional law “On the Statehood of the Republic of Latvia”, completing the de facto restoration of independence. This is also important today – Latvia's statehood is based on law, democracy and the rule of law. 🇱🇻 And it is our duty to protect it! Long live Latvia!

Russia is a thieves' regime that also rapes and kills children. If in your view that is a good price to keep businesses alive, then we don't need such businesses.

@CerinsAivis Russia is a large market, which is why goods are exported there. That also keeps businesses alive and provides jobs for people.

That about the food is also in other countries. For example, in the UK, hot chicken is sold with VAT (because it is food as in a restaurant), but cold chicken is not subject to VAT (because it is food). And there are even lawsuits about this, a million-dollar industry for lawyers. And that is not nonsense, but a consequence of introducing different regulations for different groups, resulting in all sorts of oddities. About those cash registers, for instance. Well, they are needed everywhere, but there are exemptions for artisans. But a step left or right, and you still need a cash register. And it looks absurd.

@guntarsv @AndrisKulbergs Listen to a few minutes of an accountant's talk about absurdities in legislation - that's exactly why we have few small entrepreneurs. https://t.co/pnF2PmOFxm

@IvoButkevics Did you yourself understand what you wrote? 🤔😊 I got lost.

For the state to ask us for more data because the state [protects?] our data... It's been a long time since I heard such a tempting offer.
