@urotbergs Calling genetic diseases genders is outstanding obscurantism.

About the Constitution and genders. At school I was taught that gender is determined by the combination of X and Y chromosomes — XX for a woman, XY for a man. Already in the 1950s genetics discovered other chromosome combinations — XXY, XO, XXX, XYY. That is, there are more than two genders. Including in the Constitution the norm that “there are two genders” means: 1) declaring that Latvia, in its existence, ignores science and knowledge, 2) that contrary to Article 91 Latvia does not guarantee human rights and the prohibition of discrimination (https://t.co/uGjCFVZxz0. on the basis of gender). I urge voters to cross out those AS, NA and ZZS deputies who supported the creation of the Shlesers people's confusion, so pleasing to the Kremlin.

To help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections, Latvian Television offers a series of programmes "Party in Focus", which will provide a comprehensive insight into party programmes and their offerings. Based on SKDS public opinion survey data, the series will feature political forces that reached at least 2% support in early August. This time – the focus of the final programme – the party alliance "United List". #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/AQyGMPkZKB

@pineconehiller @KalnuLauva @r_freidenfelds Riga gets 38 seats out of 100. I in no way see how Zemgale, Vidzeme and Kurzeme can compensate for Riga, especially after Kulbergs’s surge. Then they need to have 15–20% there.

@KalnuLauva @E_Stendzenieks @r_freidenfelds Natural things happen… but in this age group more people enter than die, and there are practically no Pro voters there… the municipal elections are symptomatic… you can’t say they are doing badly outside Riga.

The absurdity of 3 October – voters of the United List happily think that they will vote for the boldly talkative charismatic Kulbergs, but in the end they will vote for Šķēle, Waterfront and migration. And with high probability – as a result of a coincidence of numbers – for an AS coalition with Šlesers.

Tonight on AS and LTV the program “Party in Focus”, Bojārs is good, AS is a mess. Not the “Offended List”, but a dragon with three heads, where each head says its own thing. Contradictions. In one program they say one thing, in another – almost the opposite. Smiltēns is very much pushing for “prime minister”, but he talks like a rookie MP, even though he is the Minister of Justice. The idea of repealing the Civil Service Law was stolen from MMN. Kučinskis is dozing off, age takes its toll. Still, AS does read MMN's program. That's the good news.

@AndrisVelps @IvoSavics @KNL_LTV1 @JanisDomburs @AndrisKulbergs Very inspiring — the foam-plastic lover, Kargina's reject @guntarsv, who screamed on Twitter "hold me 7, I'll tear all public money spenders to pieces," now a sweet tomcat — that's all for the teachers.

Those know-it-alls have borrowed it from the programme of “Mēs mainām noteikumus” @partijaMMN, so they are hardly able to justify it on their own. I will try as a non-specialist. In short, currently the state allocates quotas not according to how many people a medical institution “cures” for a given diagnosis, but how many times it performs some procedure. Statistically, treatment outcome indicators can be, for example, mortality, readmission after x days, the share of complications in a patient group, patient-reported outcomes, etc. Outcomes are determined not from one patient but from a group of patients. Under such a model, an institution no longer gets money for people entering and leaving the doctor’s office a certain number of times. It gets money for doing everything necessary with patients to improve the institution’s statistics in a given measurement group (mathematically speaking).

I’m watching the AS men’s debate on LTV and I don’t understand how they imagine “paying for the result, not the procedure” in healthcare?! Will cancer patients get therapy paid for only if they survive? Will preventive check-ups not be paid for if no disease is found? Why don’t journalists ask that?
