@LabaisZellis The Poles are skimming off the pellets. We are in the free EU market, but that is no longer adequate and objectively unsustainable for many if 1t rises up to 500€🤨 I am nowhere near a forestry expert, but it seems LVM could intervene in some way to protect local households.

@Vinotava @jtaurens @AndrisKulbergs Education is not versus always with sobriety. That's what I meant👍
@Vinotava @jtaurens @AndrisKulbergs It's not that what Lāma said is only nonsense. It's also worth listening. One thing can be understood - academic degrees are not always in sync with objective reality.
From@VinotavaBrilliant response by Elza Lāma to the toxically masculine and academic-world-unreached prime minister @AndrisKulbergs. https://t.co/hbDugHqHU4

@buvnieciba67295 @Apvienotais_ @RaimondsBrg With Kulbergs we are like-minded, having equivalent views and vision on what should be done so that each of us lives better. That simple. If you want, call it fanboying. I don't mind :)
Today around Valmiera with @Apvienotais_ colleagues!👏🏽 New experience and conclusions included. Greetings to my city Valmiera and Valmierians on the anniversary🥳 Also to the celebrant @RaimondsBrg 🤝 https://t.co/yMt61gdFKS
@Vinotava @RicardsMiezitis @janisdombrava We can also call it a pre-election campaign. In that case, we are good.
From@VinotavaAivis, a minister doesn't have to be in raids, the minister is the political leadership of the ministry. He is not a national guard here. If he harasses someone with a question during a raid, he could get a slap. What functions does he perform? This is a dull and humiliating pre-election campaign.

🇱🇻🇱🇹 Today in Liepāja I had the genuine pleasure of hosting the Lithuanian Minister of Justice, Rita Tamašunienė. Ukraine's defence against Russia's full-scale aggression has vividly demonstrated that security begins with resilient state institutions. We shared Latvia's experience in strengthening the resilience of the judicial system, visited Liepāja Prison, and discussed with the leadership of Liepāja's state city municipality the city's development and the plans of Lithuanian investors. Most importantly — we decided to soon meet in the circle of Baltic justice ministers to jointly strengthen the resilience and security of our countries. I am convinced that close cooperation is our greatest strength. 🇱🇻🇱🇹🇪🇪 And one more beautiful coincidence – in Latvian and Lithuanian the word summer sounds the same. We agreed that the Baltic summer is the most beautiful. And even more importantly – we will do everything possible so that people in the Baltic region feel safe, protected, and confident in their country. ☀️
If Vienotība and Progresīvie call themselves such state-minded politicians, then they should stop howling like raccoons, gentlemanly admit that we were wrong, help sort out this issue ourselves and move on. Otherwise it's cretinous behavior. https://t.co/tKEW4jKnTo
Investments in a modern prison system and resocialization are investments in a safer society! Together with Lithuanian Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė, at Liepāja Prison we showed Latvia's modern approach to motivating prisoners and returning them to society. It is based on an individual risk and needs assessment, education, employment, psychological support, and gradual preparation for life after serving the sentence. 🏗️ The new Liepāja Prison is the first prison built since Latvia regained independence and the largest in the country. Modern infrastructure makes it possible to simultaneously strengthen security, ensure quality resocialization, and reduce the risk of recidivism.
🇱🇻🤝🇱🇹 Latvia and Lithuania are united by much more than a shared border. We are united by the Baltic Sea, people, and common goals. Together with Lithuania's Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė and the leadership of Liepāja state city municipality – Council Chairman Gunārs Ansiņš and his deputy Jānis Džeriņš – we discussed how to strengthen Latvia–Lithuania cooperation: investment attraction and regional development. I am glad to see that Lithuanian entrepreneurs continue to invest in Latvia. A modern health and SPA center will be built in Liepāja by the sea, while also restoring the historic Bath House. Such projects strengthen not only the economy but also the partnership between both countries. Liepāja is a special place for Latvia–Lithuania friendship – about 40% of the city's foreign visitors are tourists from Lithuania. This confirms that our cooperation is alive not only between governments, but also between people. During the meeting, we also discussed child safety in the digital environment. We agree that age restrictions alone are not enough. Greater responsibility of digital platforms, more effective age verification solutions, and closer cooperation between state institutions are needed so that children are truly safe in the digital environment.
From@AndrisKulbergsAnother dirty legacy we received from the coalition led by the New Unity. The prosecutor's office is investigating this case and I fully support it. The possible culprits must be identified, and I hope that will happen soon. One can understand the desire to cover up one's erroneous, questionable, and careless decisions with political noise, but that is the worst thing one can do to the rule of law and the search for truth. At least do not be hypocrites, PRO and JV, and admit that you yourselves already in April considered the possibility of revoking this very decision and abandoned it for exactly the same reasons that are being voiced today. Namely, it cannot be done legally. The government is not a court, it's that simple. We @Apvienotais_ want to establish the truth, so we are acting. We will turn to the Constitutional Court asking it to assess the possible violation of powers by the Siliņa government in the wood industry case. We ask both PRO, JV, and other deputies to join in signing the application.

VAS @VNI_LV is entrusted with state-important objects that must be realized and also managed. Today we discussed what has been done so far, as well as what needs to be done in the near future. https://t.co/y8fmsxHKik
⚖️ Baltic security begins with strong and prepared institutions. Today at the Kurzeme Regional Court we introduced Lithuania's Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė and the delegation to Latvia's experience in ensuring the continuity of court work in crisis situations. Our common task is to ensure that justice retains its strength even in the most difficult circumstances. That is why Latvia today shares its experience in ensuring the continuity of judicial work. 🇱🇻🤝🇱🇹 Common readiness, mutual trust and exchange of experience are prerequisites for more resilient justice systems and a safer Baltic region.
From@TieslietasThis morning the Minister of Justice welcomed Lithuanian Justice Minister Rita Tamašunienė and her delegation at the Latvian-Lithuanian border. 🇱🇻🇱🇹 In Liepāja, both delegations will today discuss cooperation among the Baltic states in the field of justice.

@katrinailjinska It is positive that our culture is supported from tax money. Most likely, Swedbank's management is deeply indifferent to both the ensemble and the mentioned Latvian culture. Say, if you want to dance, provide for yourselves, but we will post on social media how corporately patriotic we are.
From@katrinailjinskaBut unfortunately or fortunately, I don't have enough patience to save these 'gems' for later. Swedbank earned 152 million euros last year. In 2025, however, 89% of Swedbank's folk dance collective was funded by Latvian taxpayers. Here, however, a correlation is visible: in 2024, when the bank earned considerably more, namely 218 million euros, the folk dance collective was also considerably more dependent on tax money, which made up 97% of the association's income. At first glance, it seems to me that the collective has 17 dancers.

Just at the Latvian-Lithuanian border we welcomed Lithuania's Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė and her delegation! 🇱🇻🤝🏼🇱🇹 In the changing security situation, it is especially important for the Baltic states to share proven solutions, so today we will introduce our Lithuanian colleagues to Latvia's experience in strengthening the resilience of the judicial system. Today in Liepāja we will discuss cooperation in the field of justice, paying special attention to the main topical issues: ▫️ ensuring the continuity of the judicial system's operation in crisis conditions. ▫️ protection of children's rights and restricting children's access to social media. ▫️ visit to Liepāja Prison and a working session on measures for motivating convicts for resocialization.
A constructive meeting with the management of @LatvijasLoto about its performance results and future development vision. https://t.co/8IzLd5UDko
@RicardsMiezitis @janisdombrava All due respect, comrade👍 Shall we go?

@RicardsMiezitis Richard, welcome to the National Guard ranks, where I am together with @janisdombrava and we are heading out for a week to chase down migrants through the border forests. There won't be matcha lattes and other progressive niceties, just a heads-up. But reality will probably change your mind 🫡
From@RicardsMiezitisThat is the interior minister, who has gathered a handful of armed force representatives from the border guard, police, and also public media, and then walks around canteens, publicly intimidating and humiliating the immigrants working there. Where the hell are we going... https://t.co/hc7EdMikx5
